Muse: Kade Katagiri [ 40s, Organized Crime Detective / Secret Yakuza. ] Plot: When your character, an ambitious investigative reporter, begins tailing Kade to dig up dirt and secure a lead on the local yakuza syndicate, they have no idea they are actually tracking a high-ranking member of the organization itself. Kade, entirely aware of the clumsy surveillance, decides to play along rather than shutting it down. open to anyone.

The host club offered a decent enough escape from the damp streets outside, its attentive hostesses maintaining a careful distance as they kept his glass seamlessly full, intuitively gauging whether he preferred the quiet solace of his own thoughts or if he was simply waiting for a specific presence to command his attention for the night. The pulsating beat of the music vibrated a little more enthusiastically throughout the upscale lounge than he would have preferred, disrupting the slow, rich warmth of the Yamazaki 18-year single malt sliding down his throat, yet the night rolled along with a fairly monotonous ease until that same meddlesome reporter glided into the establishment with those large, hungry eyes practically begging for a story. It was entirely his own doing, of course, because had Kade simply ignored the persistent soul during their initial encounter, they never would have felt so daringly comfortable approaching a man of his dangerous caliber, though people frequently mistook his calculated curiosity and effortless manipulations for genuine warmth--------- a natural, deceptive charm that effortlessly masked his inherently detached disposition and maintained the public's absolute faith in his badge. As the reporter slid down into the deep, plush leather seating right beside him, an irresistible smirk tugged at the corner of Kade's handsome mouth before he drew a slow breath from his cigarette, letting the rich grey smoke curl lazily into the space between them as he finally spoke. "What do you know about the yakuza?" he asked, tones carrying that dark, humored underbelly that belonged to a man thoroughly amused by his own secret, fully aware that outsiders only ever comprehended the basic, vulgar stereotypes of elaborate tattoos, petty extortion, and senseless thuggery without ever grasping the true elegance of an empire that reached into the highest echelons of government and stretched its invisible influence across major global metropolises, leaving him to reign effortlessly as both the law and the lawless.
