Ensign Abubakar and Ensign Arobi are science officers—specializing in radiobiology and evolutionary biology, respectively.

Kadi-Goro Abubakar encouraged a fellow starfleet officer to pursue a career in sciences as opposed to navigation (a path which is expected for many cetacean officers.) Since then, the two have been inseparable as biologists and meditators.
