Job Duties: 

As a Central Scheduling Representative - Level II you will verify orders, schedule, and register, verify insurance coverage and benefits, create estimates, and obtain pre-certification, referral or authorizations as needed per insurance requirements; Participates in the collection of up-front revenue due to the facility; Provides quality customer service to internal and external customers.

Cross-references patients scheduled for multiple procedures within the Kadlec system to improve the patient flow when in departments.

Creates and provides patients with estimated cost for services.

Ensures that the procedure is scheduled for the date requested by the caller, or the next available time that is also convenient for the caller and the patient; Takes into consideration authorization requirements.

Accurately enters information about each procedure into the scheduling system to ensure the requested time for the procedure has been reserved for the patient.

Reviews, verifies, transcribes, and processes external orders accurately.

Completes medical necessity checks in accordance with Regulatory Guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications: 

GED or High School Diploma from an accredited educational institution required.

Two years general office experience with public interaction required.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Courses in medical terminology preferred.

Data entry, medical terminology and insurance experience preferred.

Medical setting experience preferred.

Bi-lingual or multi-lingual skills preferred

Summary of Position: We offer a unique opportunity for nursing students to build an excellent clinical skill set in a real-world work environment.along with tuition assistance of $3,000 per calendar year.  Please apply to Nurse Extern if you will be a first year nursing student as of July 2017.

Job Duties:

Under the direction of an RN, the Nurse Extern contributes to the clinical care of patients. 

Externs have opportunities in a number of clinical and specialty areas with flexible scheduling determined by the student's school schedule and specific unit needs. 

The Program includes an offer of employment at Kadlec Regional Medical Center as a Nurse Extern, along with tuition assistance of $3,000 per calendar year.

Minimum Qualifications: 

Enrolled and in active good standing in an accredited ADN or BSN Program (1st year nursing student as of summer break)

Successful completion of the program's first quarter/semester

Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

Be available to attend mandatory orientation July 24-28, 2017

Agree to utilize the Kadlec Tuition Program ($3,000/calendar year)

Current Washington State Nurse Technician Licensure (application completed following offer of employment)

Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS
