“Serilan Ironshield, my younger brother, recently married off, and Jorsef Ironshield, th’ bastard of th’ family, half brother, now Lord’a th’ house.” he pauses, “Don’t ask.”

“I am captain’a th’ Grey Maiden, my armored to th’ teeth tradin’ vessel. I live with my crew, and my lover. She’s all a man like me ever needs.” He stops, and coughs, “I meant my lover. Not th’ ship.”

“Handsome bastard, bit weathered.” He scratches his nose idly, “Man’a experience. Handsome, did I say handsome?”

"Right now? Mate, I got no fuckin’ idea.” The captain slaps the table and laughs boisterously, “Light help me, I got no idea. Am I a noble? Aye, am I rich? Nay. Fuck me, right?”

The Captain’s eyes widen as he begins slapping things onto the table, “Med supplies, rope, smoke bombs, a salt mixture for th’ eyes, jar’a snakes uhh... Ammo. Lots’a ammo...” he continues to pile crap onto the table, “...A lot’a pistols. Rapier...dagger. Shit mate, c’mon yer tuggin’ me ain’tcha?”

“Am a right troublemaker I am.” he winks, “And I know am loved for it.”

Kaerlic leans forwards in his chair, and stares off into the distance for some time. After a few minutes, he chuckles, shoving thoughts away, and shakes his head, “Fine, mate. Just fine.”
How much schooling have you had? Did you enjoy school?
"A vast education for any noble man, as well as a life’s experience everywhere this world’s got ta’ offer.”
Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
"My father taught me ta’ fence, as well as how ta’ dip into some shadow stuff. Everythin’ else, ‘ave learned at sea.”

"My mother.”

“I always wanted ta’ be a big time mage, like my brother ended up bein’. Smart, proud.”

"I didn’t get nothin’ fun.” He stares forwards again, “I sparred, I schooled, I survived.”

"Trouble makin’, insecurity, fear. I ran away from home because I was scared. I left a lot behind.”

"A young lass, by th’ name of Janeen. I saved her from my first captain, and though she died two weeks later, as we struggled to survive in th’ streets of a small port city, it was still so dear ta’ me.”

What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
"Light....” he looks upwards, “A few things. When I saved that girl from my first captain, was important. When I was recruited to th’ Alliance Navy was, too. I think th’ death of my business associate, Vega Wells, also tore me into a new man.” He smiles sweetly, “I also had a fantastic kiss in Northrend, in th’ last year. It really opened my eyes ta’ what could really be good for me.”

"Vega Wells was my best friend. She taught me a lot ‘bout people.”
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
"I was once assigned to takin’ down a cult that was targettin’ Kaldorei. This Bloodmoon cult was dastardly. It took months, but, after twistin’ words, shootin’ lead, and causin’ gang wars, I managed ta’ destroy that cult single handed. Manipulation of th’ law and criminals involved did th’ trick.”
What is your greatest regret?
“Too many. You have no idea what this soul has seen.”
What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
He coughs, “Mate... you got no idea.”

"Not recently!”
When was the time you were the most frightened?
“I think it was th’ view of th’ fightin’ at th’ Broken Shore was awful. We could see it, with magnification, from our deck in Northrend. Th’ end’a th’ world...”
What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
"I was once beatin’ in a duel by a small gnome, no taller than ten inches.”
If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
"I would have hurt so many less. I would have convinced Vega to stay, convinced Taelyren ta’ not do what he’s done.” The captain closes his eyes and frowns, “I am a man of regret at its finest.”
What is your best memory?
"Th’ look in my lover’s eyes, when I told her I loved her. I have never, in my days, felt so much unconditional admiration, than I did at that moment.” The captain’s features soften for only a moment, before taking on a playful grin and winking, “Don’t tell anyone that or ay’ll fuckin’ shoot ya’ in yer sleep.”
What is your worst memory?
"Th’ stand off between my folks, th’ Pack, and this techno mercenary group. I was a hostage, part of th’ exchange, and I ended up havin’ ta’ stand up in between a hundred guns, and calmly tell everyone ta’ fuck off and calm down.”

"Losing who I hold dear.”

"I am a man who’s seen Voodoo cure sickness, th’ moon destroy demons, and th’ shadows engulf my foes. I’ve seen th’ Light cure deep rooted burdens, and th’ sun burn away regret. I am an open-minded man.”
