omg im def not in chicago! ive only visited but it was like a really planned trip and i i didnt explore like different food scenes, omg yeah like! that seemed to be the spread like bars and diners, i was looking for something that was more like Formal that was open later, i mean its not a super surprise that there wasnt a lot of hits for that but at the same time like ???chicago??? feels like it should have more late night venues than that!

excellent. a lot of what you might find centers around like direct, mystical experiences of saints. if you get like a little more into readings about why that is, there gets to be a lot about like how mystical experiences that centered around the body were heavily gendered to mostly being put in a metaphor of like the soul “receiving” god (ifyaknowwhatimean.) they did this with like st francis a little bit too. if you read st teresa’s first-hand accounts about her experiences they’re kinda sexy ngl
i wrote a paper in college like a decade ago (that made me feel old lol) that contrasted who was considered holy and who was crazy by the catholic church in like 1000-1700 and did a lot of reading about like both sexualized depictions and kinda sexy experiences of god by some of the saints. it was fun.
