I desperately want to write an au of LWA where the Red team are all Fricking Insane. Like the professors all saw these three girls enable eachother in to doing the most insane shit that no sane, rational person who values life would ever think of doing.
Absolutely no common sense between the three of them and as the year goes on they progressively make eachother worse and the rest of the school is terrified and it's not just the students and teachers anymore it's also every person they meet. Their families have gotten used to it. Diana's and Andrew's families haven't tried anything because they're terrified of the kids they hang around and with.
Akko: even without magic and before coming to Luna Nova is just extremely unsettling because of how curious she is about things but she also embraces the core ideas of Existentialism, Nihilism and Absurdism.
She starts off as a Nihilist as a kid believing that life has no meaning, she becomes an Existentialist when she thinks that everyone should just do their own thing and leave it be, and she finally becomes an Absurdist when she finally acknowledges that some people just don't think like she does and need to believe in some type of meaning to life despite her own lack of belief that life has any type of meaning. These things lead her to live her life with the lack of proper care of her own because at Luna Nova she has to learn that some people actually care about living and do not - in fact - like being put into life threatening situations.
(may not be what those words mean exactly but I couldn't be bothered writing it all down)
Sucy: pretty obvious because of her experiments and her lack of care for those she experimented on at the beginning but let's take it up from, let's say her canon self was around 6, to an 11 and everyone has to deal with it. Her favourite subject is Akko because she doesn't care that she's being experimented on and instead gives her advice on how to not make it obvious that she's poisoning someone. Akko tells her to try putting it in people's food, drinks, or coat their clothes or wands.
Lotte: she's just there. She doesn't care enough to stop the two because she's always so focused on her own entertainment and finding things that are entertaining for her. Watching Akko and Sucy is entertaining for her and some times she'll help them out and give them advice if she's bored enough. She's very well read and not just in Night Fall which leaves her to correct their technique in something if their about to do something she's read about. Everyone thinks she's the most reasonable until they spend more than an hour with her and she tries to make them perform the death defying stunts the characters she read about did.
Do you get what I'm talking about. Just these three emotionally unstable and insane teenagers who live in the same dorm, have the same disregard for life, and seem to consistently enable the others' behaviour.
