Sukiyaki (鋤焼) dinner set at a traditional Japanese food family restaurant, Kagonoya (かごの屋 城陽久津川店). Simple and delicious, only in Japan I suppose! It consists of thinly sliced beef which is slowly cooked or simmered at the table, alongside vegetables and other ingredients, in a shallow iron pot in a mixture of soy sauce, sugar, and mirin. Before being eaten, the ingredients are usually dipped in a small bowl of raw, beaten eggs. Nice atmosphere and a nicely decorated set, a pleasing sight to the eye.
