As the years went by, she genuinely developed a strong attachment toward Kyo, that was borderline obsessive and stalkerish. It was unhealthy to say the least, and it gotten to the point, where she actively tried to change her mannerisms, from the way she spoke to way the dressed, how she carried herself, it all came down to appeasing the male gaze, appeasing Kyo's gaze in particular, but it still wasn't enough.
Needless to say it was exhausting, and she still didn't know why she did it, or why she tried so hard to gain his approval and attention. She wasn't sure much of anything really, the only thing she was really sure of anything was her feelings for Rin, and even that came with its own complication. But the way Rin made her feel, the way her heart beats faster when she's around, or how hands start to get clammy and her cheeks flush, whenever they engaged in minimal physical contact, or how she stumble around her words when making eyecontacting with her, it's something she never felt before, but it feels so right, so natural even.
The curse breaks and Kagura has a lot to unpack about how she views herself, her sexuality, and just her outlook on life in general.
