It was a stupid hobby Ivy fell into in High School. An act of rebellion against her Father by defacing city property. But, now, it was just someway to leave an artistic mark on Kings Head. Tagging. Childish, illegal, but so much fun. There were a few other people in town who did it, too, though Ivy hadn’t run in any circles with the people who did anymore. But, she recognized their tags pretty easily.
One in particular, person, guppy, always left something to be desired for Ivy. They kept it simple, got in, got out, she could respect it. But, a little bit of pizzazz wouldn’t kill them. So, Ivy had taken to spicing up his designs a little bit. Fish, expertly spray painted next to their name, a little river or ocean scene, submerged in water to show off some fish. Just something to make it less... basic.
She had come out to the water tower with the intention of doing some little portrait. A mimic of a tossed designed at the shop she saw that inspired her. The water tower was secluded enough that no one would notice. But, when she had got up to the top, she spotted another ‘guppy’ tag, and inspiration for that took precedence. Pulling a mask over her face, Ivy shook up a can of paint, getting to work. Her headphone sat across her ears, one pulled slightly to the side to keep an ear out for sirens. But, she still had a tendency to get lost in her own little world.

It was par for the course for Kai to text her with random ideas. Chloe seemed to be his go to person for when he wanted to do something off the wall. Tagging the city, skinny dipping in the middle of fall, and now dying his hair. She didn’t mind. It was usually fun, and she liked being able to get outside of her usual habits once in a while. Sure, they weren’t always the best choices, but they made for a good time. She rapped on the door of his bedroom a couple of times, pushing it open. “So red hair, huh? Does your mom know or am I gonna get reprimanded at dinner?” She mused as she let herself into the room, “You could go as IT for halloween, too, two birds with one stone.”

Chloe could feel the weight of the bed shift underneath her as Kai turned once again. It was impossible not to stir at this point after feeling him roll multiple times through the morning. Typically, his arms were circled around her waist, breath tickling her neck with every exhale. So, feeling him toss and turn was worrying.
She rubbed the sleep from her eyes, propping herself up on her elbows. Tossing a glance at her phone, she saw just how early it was, and was even more concerned. It was only 8 am, and even when he walked Bart for her, he was still seldom up before 9. “Hey,” Chloe greeted, sleep still heavy in her voice, “You okay? You’ve been tossing and turning all morning.”
The idea that he might have been having second thoughts about everything they were doing struck her. The weekend had been going good so far, it had seemed. And, he had brought over the glasses and the toothbrush, and Chloe had even found it a place of honor on the ledge of her bathroom sink, just opposite of her own. A small part of her thought about getting a stand with two spaces, but she thought it might be a little too much. Maybe it was all turning out to be too much. Or maybe she had just let Aless get too in her head.
