she’s never really thought of herself as someone with repressed memories, but it’s strange how many gaps she has in her childhood. a lot of her life before adoption is blurry, which she thought had to do with her young age. she should remember more than she does, though. she’s trying to trigger her memories with all kinds of things -- right now, it’s scents. tilly holds the small bag of lavender under his nose and thinks maybe this is how her birth mother used to smell. when someone sits down on the couch next to her, she drops the satchel into her lap. “oh, um, hello there. is therapy making you feel even more unstable than usual or is that just me?” / @kaiamore​

Celeste sat in the common room on the fifth floor, trying to play a game on her laptop. She had hoped it would be a welcome distraction, but she’d found it hard to focus on the game and her character kept dying. In frustration, she shut her laptop and glanced at the girl across from her. “This is going to sound terrible, but I miss class in a way I never thought was possible.” At least if they’d been going to classes, Celeste would have something to take her mind off what had happened. “So if you have any idea for good distractions, please let me know.”
