Minori Matsushima, who voiced Dororo in the 1969 Dororo anime series, passed away on April 8th due to pancreatic cancer. Matsushima was 81 years old.
In other Osamu Tezuka anime series, Matsushima voiced Peach in the Fumoon movie, and had supporting roles in the 1963 Astro Boy series, Marvelous Melmo, and Princess Knight.
Matsushima was also known for voicing the title character in Little Lulu, the title character in Akane-chan, Meat-kun in Kinnikuman, Hiroshi Ichikawa in the 1968 Kaibutsu-kun anime series.
She also had roles in One Piece, Glass no Kamen, The Adventures of the Little Prince, The Rose of Versailles, Maison Ikkoku, Mazinger Z, Ogon Bat, Dokaben, and Candy Candy, among many other roles in other anime series.
