KAIJU BIOLOGY:
Kaiju are composed of a form of exotic matter. Kaiju possess an internal “organ” that allows them to convert normal matter into exotic matter, allowing them to heal and repair their bodies. Exotic matter is very similar to normal matter, with one key difference: the presence of a Anti-Gravity Field, or AGF. When an AGF is supplied with an electrical charge, it helps counteract gravity and other physical forces as well as conventional matter in some cases, which allows kaiju to support their own massive body weight. A kaiju’s entire body is filled with complex, nerve-like structures that supply energy to the kaiju’s AGF. These structures are more complex in limbs, since they have to support the weight of the Kaiju's body, as a way of meeting the high energy demands of the AGF in these specific body parts. Without a constant source of energy, exotic matter will convert back to normal matter. Because of this, when a kaiju dies, its body rapidly begins to collapse under its own weight. Their bodies incorporate both standard biological structures as well as non-biological ones. These non-biological structures are created by consuming various elements and using their high internal body pressures to mold them to suit their needs. These structures are sometimes used to perform functions that normal organic organs could not. The most notable of these non-biological structures are internal Hydrogen Fusion reactors, which are used to produce most the energy that a kaiju needs to function. Because of this, most kaiju need to eat very little, only enough to keep their bodies maintained. What parts of a kaiju qualify as organic vs. inorganic can be difficult to determine; they vary greatly between individuals, and fully-organic structures can resemble machinery and vice-versa. These inorganic materials are often used to make an endoskeleton or exoskeleton of some sorts. They're also used to create offensive weapons as well.
KINETIC CHARGE:
Kaiju are capable of doing something called a kinetic charge. Before executing an attack a Kaiju will flex/pose/prepare to charge/pounce and build up energy that they will put into the attack. After charging they'll relax and release the energy in a quick and powerful attack. They have to be careful though, put in too little or too much energy into the attack and the Kaiju might barely do damage to their opponent or completely overshoot their attack and potentially send themselves flying.
RAGE MODE:
When a Kaiju in battle experiences a certain amount of damage or becomes increasingly aggravated they will generate a sort of "gravity bubble" that encases the Kaiju, their opponents, and their surroundings. Nothing can enter this gravity dome and nothing can get out either, creating an isolated arena. The gravity dome morphs the area into an arena that is perfect for the Kaiju that generated the dome. Different Kaiju generate different dome environments, all of which suit the needs of their Kaiju perfectly. Generating these domes cost massive amounts of energy and only last a certain amount of time, so they are mostly used as a trump card, but some Kaiju have been known to generate a gravity dome multiple times in battle.
The appearance of a Kaiju also changes; often growing numerous spines, spikes, horns, and many other offensive features. They revert back to normal once their gravity dome goes down.
Kaiju also gain access to certain abilities that they wouldn't use outside of their gravity dome, since these abilities use an extreme amount of energy. The reason they only use these abilities inside their gravity dome is because they've already thrown caution to the wind by creating a gravity dome in the first place. Once again, these are for last ditch efforts to end a fight... most of the time.
Should two Kaiju in battle cast a gravity dome at the same time, then the domes will fuse into a larger, longer lasting dome and the two arenas will combine.
OTHER STUFF:
- the Kaiju have been around before the earth even cooled, and converted the heat into extra energy for themselves. When the earth cooled they hibernated for millions of years, occasionally awakening to replenish their energy.
- Their metallic skeletons are an extremely durable mix of diamonds and strong metals, which makes what has been dubbed "Bone iron" an extremely valuable resource.
- It is possible that the Kaiju choose how they look, which means that each individual Kaiju looks the way it is because it chose to look like that.
- Still have not decided on what the Kaiju are this time. These are the choices so far...
1) They're cellular organisms that figured out how to break the laws of physics. (A possible connection to Formaerem is still on the drawing board, but these Kaiju are very different from Guardian Kaiju so it’s not likely.)
2) They're programmable matter.
3) They're essentially "quantum goop".
4) They’re made of something called “element X” which is an element with so many electrons, neurons, and protons that it broke the universe and can do whatever it wants.
