For some, war is the end of all things. For others, it is only the beginning...

For the sake of not clogging up people’s dash with an unnecessarily long post, I will keep this short and sweet: Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has gone on this 8+ year long journey with me. Whether you only just started reading, whether you forgot about this fic and will never finish, whether you’ve been there since the start--thank you. So much. There’s a much longer author’s note at the start of this chapter for those who wish to read it, but I won’t be upset if you don’t. 

I simply wanted to say thank you. It truly has been a journey, and I cannot believe that this is the end of the beginning. I promise, the next part won’t take me 8 years.

Time is precious. Divided, some already live on borrowed time, racing against the clock to fight for salvation. Yet for others, there is time--a few fleeting moments spent with loved ones before the final crescendo of war, like the haze before the rising of the sun. The passage of time is now all anyone can be certain of, and the final promises between loved ones all anyone can hold on to.

And so begins the final countdown of Alliance! I hope everyone has enjoyed this fic so far. There are only two chapters left, and then I’ll be buckling down to work on the sequel! Stay tuned for the next update! I don’t have an exact day yet for when I’ll post it, but it will hopefully be sometime in the next month or so!

Causalities of war are stacking up. Death is on their heals and destruction waits around every turn. The balance has been upset, the alliance grows more and more tenuous with each passing day. In the midst of war, peace seems an ineffable concept, and survival is but a dream.

Finally an update! One more chapter before my fave chapter is finally--finally--posted! Once chpter 13 (well, 14 on ao3) is up, I’ll probably take a break from posting to actually go over every chapter again for major editing and because the remaining chapters will also need editing and I’d rather just get it all done and finally get on to a bi-weekly posting schedule. Can’t believe there’s only seven more chapters to go before the end! I really need to get the sequel going smh ><

Medics deal in life and death, so it's only natural that medic-nin be tasked with the difficult mission of finding a way to fight the dead. Sequestered in Iron, the medical teams race against the clock to find the answers they need to turn the tide of the war, but they're shooting in the dark until an unexpected delivery arrives, bringing with it hope... If they can unlock its secrets, that is.

I know I said I wasn’t gonna update for a while, but I honestly couldn’t help myself. Things are starting to get more exciting--but then again I’m kind of biased (and tbh i always think this is exciting lmao) This chapter is a lot of fun though if you like pseudo science that’s very confident in it’s bs-ing and/or if you like Sakura

Two shinobi villages were never meant to live as one. Living so closely together with so much bad blood in their not-so-distant past can only lead to resentment. With Konoha's resources strained as the village tries to support Suna's and its own people during a time of war, tensions begin to rise. And when the Hokage and Kazekage find themselves at odds the alliance and the outcome of the war are put at stake.
