Pretty Little Monster (Kai X Reader)

Kai has always been fascinated by Y/N Salvatore, little vampire sister of the Salvatore brothers—because she's just as unhinged as he is. “You’re not scared of me?” he asks, amused. You smirk, tilting your head. “Maybe I should be.”

The knife in Kai’s hand gleamed under the neon light of the abandoned gas station. Blood dripped slowly from the tip, splattering onto the cracked pavement. He tilted his head, watching you with amusement, waiting for a reaction.

You gave him nothing.

Instead, you smirked, arms crossed over your chest. "Is this supposed to scare me?"

Kai let out a laugh—low and sharp, like the edge of the blade he held. "Most people would be running by now." He stepped forward, eyes gleaming with curiosity. "You’re not scared of me?"

You tilted your head, mirroring his expression. "Maybe I should be."

He inhaled sharply, like your words had just intrigued him more than anything he’d heard in years. Oh, this was new. Kai loved getting under people’s skin, watching them squirm. But you? You weren’t squirming. You weren’t even blinking.

"I don’t get it," he admitted, twirling the knife between his fingers. "You’re a Salvatore. Shouldn’t you be all noble and broody like your brothers?"

You took a slow step forward, your boots crunching against the gravel. "You think because they play heroes, I do too?" A small, knowing smile curved your lips. "Oh, Kai. You really don’t know me at all."

His grin widened. Oh, he liked you.

"So, what? You’re not gonna try and kill me?" he asked, voice dripping with amusement.

"No," you said simply. "But I’m not going to stop you either."

Kai blinked. That… that was unexpected. "Wow. That’s—wow. You’re a different breed, aren’t you?" He pointed the knife at you like he was making a grand discovery. "A pretty little monster in Salvatore clothing."

You shrugged. "Takes one to know one."

For a moment, there was silence—charged and heavy. The world around you felt eerily still, like even the night was watching to see what would happen next.

Then, with a flash of vampire speed, you vanished. Before Kai could react, you were behind him, your breath ghosting over his ear.

"Tell me, Parker," you whispered. "Should I be scared of you? Or should you be scared of me?"

Kai barely had time to turn before you were gone again, standing a few feet away, smirking like the devil himself.

His heart hammered against his ribs—not in fear, but in something far more exhilarating.

A slow, wicked smile stretched across his lips. "I think I like you."

You chuckled, backing away into the darkness. "Good. That’ll make this even more fun."

And just like that, you disappeared into the night, leaving Kai standing there—grinning like a madman, already obsessed.
