My angle is I believe that ratings are an unnecessary and flawed system and people should be allowed to buy whatever form of fictional media they want at any age

The thing is, you can even teach your kid what is wrong and what is bad with games like these, but it requires the parent to be there for the kid while they play. It really is about who plays and with who’s supervision. tho i did play moslty alone…
ughughguhguhgughuhgghuggh the problem is that kids get spoiled with these things because in most cases, the parents don't.... really care for their kids otherwise?? like they buy it for them to make them play by themselves and get out of their parents' hair, and in most cases, they don't realize that their kid needs help, in which case breeds the "kid goes out shooting" stuff (also lack of parents caring about how they store their guns etc; the parents just dON'T CARE)
