…DRABBLE CHALLENGE 2024

DAY 5: RING

pairing: kajiwara akihito & brielle henderson

summary: angst. changed it up and did my OCs. for @thedrabblecollective 100 word challenge.

The silence hung heavy. Brielle, usually full of sunshine, sat small and still, staring at her dried up tears.

Kaji sat there, gaze towards the chipped paint on the wall, the dull grey a reflection of his own mood. He'd said things, cruel things, fueled by self-loathing and bitterness. He knew he'd hurt her, the echoes of her sobs still ringing in his ears.

He opened his mouth to speak, but words failed him. Instead, he reached out, his hand hovering over hers. Actions speaking louder than words. He needed to show her, not tell her, that he was sorry.

i have realized that i picture my OC Kajiwara as more korean than japanese. but his name is japanese so thanks to @hellkaiserinphoenix great idea he is going to be both. a korean mother and a japanese father. he got the name from his fathers side and the looks from his mother. if your curious i mostly see him as animated tbh like in my head him and brielle are anime characters. BUT i saw this guy on pinterest and was like thats pretty close to how i picture him (not exactly tho but the closest ive seen).

Brielle. Look, you know I’m not good at this shit. I mean look at me, I’m even swearing in my vows. I guess all I can say is that I love you. I know I don’t say it enough but it’s there. In every stupid smile you give me, and every time our eyes meet. I love you in sickness and in health and all that stuff they make you say. You’re chaotic, and annoying, and you’re a pain in the ass…but you’re also the best thing that’s ever happened to me. You’ve made me want to be better. You know I’m not the best with words but I’m never giving up on you okay? So say I do. Because I couldn’t imagine my life without you in it anymore.
