In the KAJverse, there are obviously a lot of gaps and missing information concerning, for example, the relationships of some characters, which made me come up with the funniest headcanon. This is just for fun so skip this if you’re not into fan-fictiony stuff haha.

So, canonically, we are here. A big bunch of Vörå-based characters, but also a lot of missing information. We know that in Pensala there is a guy, “Fabbo”, who has a wife and children, but we don’t know their names. Then, there are Fabbo’s and his wife’s friends, Tom and Gunilla, who have at least one daughter, Daisy. And then, there is Marlene and his son Fredrik whose father is unknown. Freppa’s last name is Sippus, so we can assume that Marlene’s last name is also Sippus even if it’s not certain. And lastly, there is Määnin, who just... exists. We know his last name, Mannerheim, though. We don’t know any of the last names of the Jåo nåo characters (this is important!).

Now I’ll start the very much noncanonical part. So, what if… what if Määnin is actually Daisy’s brother? They do look kind of similar after all…

Well, the next step is maybe a bit harder to swallow. But what if… Marlene is actually Fabbo’s wife. Which would make Freppa their son. Freppa has some suspicious resemblance with Fabbo, you know? And isn’t that some bussit hår and glöd i öga that I see in Fabbo’s wife?? COULD BE.

Like this, we have united them all into two families, and everybody who was missing a last name has gotten one! But what makes these two families especially interesting is their contacts with each other, erm...close contacts.

Obviously, Marlene and Fabbo are friends with Tom and Gunilla, but Marlene has also spent a night with Määnin and Fabbo has at least partied (and taken belly shots) with Daisy (and probably something else too, they are interestingly touchy with each other after all). I see that there is a tendency that the Mannerheim kids seem to prefer older men and women…maybe it runs in the family. But what about Marlene and Fabbo? I don’t think that they have an open relationship because of Fabbo's lies and guilty behaviour in Jåo nåo. Well, of course it’s a bit different to spend time with the daughter of a family friend than some other girl. BUT I think it’s more probable that Marlene found out about Fabbo and Daisy… and then saw Määnin walking around in the city centre. And what could possibly be a better way to get back at your husband than spending a night with the brother of the girl he cheated with?

I rest my case.

Yesterday evening I was re-relistening to “Vems pojk e do?” and a bell rang in my head at the end: the boy’s name is Mikko! What if the mysterious character in “Vams pojk e do?” eventually became the copilot Mikko Lentopuuro?

Although, from a rational point of view, Mikko is not such a rare name -feel free to correct me if I’m wrong- and its double appearance in the KAJverse may be just a coincidence, I think it would be fun to view the two Mikkos as the same person.

What do you think of this theory?

What Kajverse character do you like to write the most? And which character is the most difficult to write?

Henlo!!

Tommy. Oh my god, I love to write about Tommy.. so much. No one knew this, right? I'm not just as obvious about this as Tommy's love for Määnin is? Okay, good.

As for a character that's most difficult to write.. I'm leaving out all the ones I haven't included in my fics because what do I know about what it's like to write about them? Nothing. You know.. Fabbo? I mean, I really like the guy but there's something surprisingly tricky about writing about him. I can't even explain what it really is. He doesn't want to work with me for too long, I think. Still, I've dragged him into a generous handful of fics.
