14. How do they react to someone dying?

If it were someone close to him, the demon would be beside himself with grief. Bara is not afraid to cry and mourn those he loves. 

As far as killing someone goes, he’s not afraid to do it out of self defense or to protect someone, or even in a pinch for a ‘job’ with Abyssal, but the act of taking a life actually sickens him a bit.

27. Are they more book smart or street smart?

Given his background, he never received any kind of formal education whatsoever, aside from reading and writing, so no Bara is not ‘book smart’. But he’s not dumb either. He loves to read, and he’s learned to cook some things by watching and helping Maléfice in the cafe. The boy was raised as a perfect gentleman and is very mindful of his manners and calls everyone Sir or Miss or Ma’am.

But don’t think any of that makes him a pushover either. His life has never been easy, before or after coming to Toon Town. Having worked as a bouncer and with Abyssal on some odd jobs for his brother’s mob boss, he picked up on the street smarts real quick.

((Note: When I say brother, I do not mean by blood. He grew up with Abyssal and Malé since his creation and regards them as siblings.))

16. How did they become a character?

Oh my god, this one is actually hilarious to me, and I know it’s for Bara but I’m throwing Abyssal in here too because both their concept came about around the same time. I had to dig through my discord archives, but here it is: The actual origins of Bartholomew and Abyssal. (under the read more ‘cause it’s long and I care about your dashes)

This was in reference to a couple WIPS I had drawn early in my Bendy fandom days (that I will never finish sorry Dx)

And I’m just gonna go ahead and answer question 9 here too ‘cause fuck it.

9. Why is their name, their name?

And then I drew this prototype of the shit himself (this was before I got into the Mob AU)

It took awhile for Bara to focus more in my mind though…

I could never picture Bara until I started did the Mob design for him (and at that point Abyssal became the little shit I couldn’t picture because I had to redo him). So there ya go! The birth of my first OCs and best/shit sons.

Both are based on Bendy and the Ink Machine. The top one is their versions of Sammy and Bendy, while the bottom one is @doodledrawsthings‘ Bendy.

(90′s fashion was the weirdest, man. I should know; I fucking lived it. I had one of them fanny packs, and I would wear it everywhere. Those were the shit. XD )
