One of main stories and segments that I originally drew up for Kaiju Gaiden was the story of Mr. Katto *(see bottom of post). Mr. Katto did several independent films, which even at this point I am not sure which were made into full length features besides Atragon 2 (There are several trailers!)

When Mark Jaramillo found Mr. Nakajima, he was told briefly about the films. When he told me, I thought the story was so intriguing I wrote this as one of the main segments in Kaiju Gaiden. I thought to myself "Now I know someone else had decided to become a filmmaker to keep the genre alive!"

Thank you so far for everyone's support and excitement about the Kaiju Gaiden documentary. The whole purpose was to give the directors a medium through which to tell their stories! I hope everyone is liking my daily update format, thank you for all your responses/questions, which I personally have enjoyed reading. *A little error on our parts through translations, I have said Mr. Kattoh in panels before, but tit is actually Mr. Katto. I am big on keeping the facts strait and erasing rumors.
**Edited on the 8/26/14 - Confirmed over email it is Katto. There was much confusion as only Mr. Nakajima knows Mr. Katto at this point.
