 Ok... I couldn’t choose just three and I’m not sorry at all... I’m kind of in love with everything Hikaru wears, so...

Kalafina LIVE THE BEST 2015 “Red Day / Blue Day” at Nippon Budokan ~Second Outfits~

I really like these..! That sort of military uniform vibe, all the jewels and sparkly details, the colours, the cuts... All works great. The wrist accesory on the RD one is really nice, and the white cape-like thingy with the flowers on the BD vest is really cute too! These dresses are quite similar yet so unique... everytime you see something you haven’t seen before.

Kalafina LIVE TOUR 2015~2016 “far on the water” Special FINAL ~Third Outfit~

I’m reaaally, really fond of this live and all her smiling and laughing during the MC wearing this makes it even more beautiful ^^ ..!! That creamy palette is really cute, and all the handcrafted-looking details makes this looks kind of simple yet special. Is not one of those big, bright, full of layers outfit, but it’s kind of modest. For me, it’s kind of like her regular self haha The head piece is really cute too!!

Kalafina LIVE TOUR 2015~2016 “far on the water” Special FINAL ~First Outfit~ Kalafina Arena LIVE 2016 at Nippon Budokan ~Third Outfit~ (Encore) AKA: Hikaru On Pants!!

(Yes, I know I left the 9+ONE out) Haven’t heard the first person who doesn’t like Hikaru on pants. I mean, she looks really cool and it works really well for the choreographies and the Edgy-Hikaru-Mode. These outfits are quite similar too. Short boots, shiny embrodery all over the sides of the pants and some on the upper body part as well, no sleeves on the arms and some tummy here and there.. haha The vest on the FOTW one is really nice! The long part on the back side looks really fancy and I recently noticed there’s a fringe at the bottom of the front side. Really nice too! From the arena live one, I like the different textures of the leather-ish and the translucent parts. I think these pants outfits really fit Hikaru.

Well, that’s it for this time... There’s no much to add besides how much I like Hikaru’s outfits and how happy I am that she’s still around in Twitter. I had not realised how much I missed her until that Twitcast a few days ago... It made me so happy to hear her again ^^ !!

Group Outfits:

I do like many of the outfits, but there is always one that I don't like very much. This was surprisingly difficult. Special mentions go the ring your bell, Yume no Daichi, and the to the beginning PV's.

Magia PV: This PV was the first of Kalafina's that I watched and I fell in love with the dominatrix look with the leather and the high boots with the flowing fabric. Hikaru especially, looks like a queen in this song with her hairstyle, and owns the song. I also love Wakana's sleeves and Keiko's jacket.

into the world PV: Did someone say... LACE?! These dresses would be just your average white dresses for me, but the lace around the chest and the sleeves really sells it for me - it reallt gives an elegant style that fits the setting of the room in the PV as opposed to the beach with their jackets

Kagayaku Sora no Shijima ni wa PV: These outfits are popular throughout the fandom, and I love them to death. The pure victorian gothic lolita aesthetic of these dresses fit the song and the PV in a way that is utterly gorgeous

Wakana Outfits:

believe PV: Wakana's dress is so shiny and coupled with her straight hair (which I am always a sucker for) suits her really well

Hyakka Ryouran PV: I absolutely adore Wakana's hairstyle here with the ribbon. The shoulder off look always shows off Wakana's collarbones and here is no exception and the single flowing arm along with the patterns make her look beautiful

into the world PV: The lace design on Wakana's dress is absolutely beautiful I don't have words for it. I usually don't like this kind of hairstyle on Wakana, but it looks beautiful with this dress

Keiko Outfits:

blaze PV: I love Keiko in a ponytail, and this dress is quite cute and suits it. What sells the dress for me is the flowing arm which is just the right type of fabric imo (not too heavy and not too thin). The cut of the neck is quite nice as well

Hyakka Ryouran PV: I love the flowing sleeves on this dress, it really sets it apart from the other girls with its bright red that catches your attention. The layers of fabric is something that I'm not usually a fan of but on this dress it's small enough that I can look over it. Again, the patterns are gorgeous

storia PV: I adore the puffy sleeves and the decoration on the chest (she kinda looks like a maid it's cute). The hair decorations are not too OTT and complements the curls of her hair. The fabric of the skirt is my favourite out of the three and I love boots on Keiko

Hikaru Outfits: tbh Hikaru's hairstyles are the standouts of these outfits imo

Hikari Furu PV: I freaking LOVE the hair decoration + hairstyle, she looks very elegant and cute at the same time. I also like the puffy sleeves, I feel like they really sell the dress for me. I also love the cut of short at the front of more flowing at the back, it looks better on here than on the other dresses

Kimi no Gin no Niwa PV: The design of this dress is quite simple but it's simplicity is really the selling point. It's a very cute look, with the small boots, the short, loose dress with that small amount of embroidery and curled hair

Hikari no Senritsu: Hikaru's dress of the HnS dresses is my favourite. Although the chains are a bit too much for my taste, this yellow looks really nice on Hikaru and the small amount of red really adds to it. The straight hair is also really nice, and the length of the sleeves I've always thought is cute, and the boots are always nice with shorter dresses.

It’s mainly because of those insanely beautiful photo shots that I adore these dresses. The postcard set of this concert is amazing and the girls look so great in the dresses.

『Kalafina’s All Time Best 』Looks/Outfits Challenge ~ Other live appearances

All right, I will start with my group favourites again. (^ _ ^)/

Kalafina Live Tour 2014/Animax Musix 2014/Countdown Japan 14&15/Kalafina Live Tour 2015~2016 "far on the water” in Mexico: Most of you probably already know that I LOVE these dresses. The black and gold combo looks utterly gorgeous and it’s just so sad that pictures never do it justice. The gold details are so much more sparkly and pretty in real life. The cut on all three dresses is flattering, feminine and unique. I love the heart shape on Keiko’s top half and the accentuated waist. Hikaru’s dress has a nice open back which is just super sexy. And then we have Wakana’s gorgeous shoulders on display. What’s not to love about this outfit set?

Kalafina Acoustic Tour 2017〜“+ONE” with Strings～/10th Anniversary Film Promotion: I am a sucker for white lace, I can never get enough of it. All the intricate pattern on the top parts and the lower section of each skirt! The girls looked just so gorgeous during their 10th Anniversary Film promotion. Keiko’s dress is by far my favourite in this set (those sleeves!!) but I am also a big fan of Hikaru’s and Wakana’s dress.

Music Fair 2015/05/09: The gorgeous colours, the unique cuts, the pretty hair, the lovely make-up,  I really wish we would have gotten looks like this more often. Casual yet still elegant. Perfect. Close contender was the Utage outfit set from 2015/05/04 (wow, May 2015 was a good time to be a Kalafina fan XD)

This was actually quite hard but these are my intuitive choices.

Kalafina Christmas Premium LIVE 2017: WOW, just WOW! Absolutely mindblowing. her curly hair, her smile, her accessories, that lovely red/white/almost pinkish colour combo, the tight corset-like top, the impressive tulle skirt, the massive flower on it, the sparkly details at the waist, Keiko looks like a princess.

Music Theater 2017: I am a big fan of the black/gold combo (probably why I also really loved Keiko’s 10th Anniversarly Live dress unlike most other people). Also, I have a weakness for Keiko parting her bangs like that, so so cute!! Generally this is one of Keiko’s best hairstyles.

Kalafina for Atelier-Pierrot 2010/Asia Tour 2010 Promotion: I just had to inlcude an Atelier-Pierrot dress. Old-school Kalafina FTW. And this is by far Keiko’s best Atelier-Pierrot look or at least it’s my favourite.

On the other hand, Wakana was quite easy for me, YAY!

Christmas Premium LIVE 2013 "Kalafina with Strings":  Do I even need to say anything? In my opinion Wakana has NEVER looked better. Everything that shows off her shoulders like that is an instant Top3 XD And the dress in general is just so beautiful.

Christmas Premium LIVE 2015 "Kalafina with Strings": I have a weakness for Wakana in evening gowns. Especially when they are off-shoulder style. She has this aura around herself that makes her able to pull off pretty much every evening dress (YES, even the Christmas tree dress!!). This one here feels very old-fashioned , the sleeves would look ridiculous on another woman but on Wakana they just look royal because obviously, she is a QUEEN XD

Animax Musix 2011/”Kalafina Week in Shibuya”/AFA Singapore/Anime Expo:That cream coloured corset with floral patterns is the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen. This alone makes the look perfect for me. One day I wanna wear something like this too.

This time it was surprisingly easy to find my Hikaru picks

Chikyu Gekijo #31 2016: This outfit was so nice and well put-together (unlike Keiko’s and Wakana’s from the same event).And I just realised that I have a LOT of red in my picks. That’s actually quite surprising since I usually don’t even like red but oh well, I guess Kalafina have made the appreciate the colour more.

Hikaru Birthday Event 2018: Okay, I might be biased here but this is officially one of my favourite Hikaru looks. The fabulous flowy hair, the bracelet on her upper arm, the pants-style (I told you I love Hikaru in paints) and of course, the pretty blouse (which I immediately had to buy after I found out which brand it was). Also, it’s not really visible here but she was wearing quite heavy make-up that day, a bolder look than usual, I liked it a lot.

Morph Live Heaven&Earth 2009: First of all, this is probably one of Hikaru’s coolest hairstyles, why have we not seen anything like that again? That cute look on her face is probably the main reason I chose this outfit (baby-face!Pikachan). And the corset, it’s such a beautiful corset. Ahhhhh, sometimes I really miss the old corset days....

Kalafina’s All Time Best Looks/Outfits Challenge ～ Keiko’s PV/MV Looks

Well... didn’t finish this before 2019... This is one of my favourite categories for Keiko. I like a lot the outfits she’s wore for the MV’s. Let’s start.

Magia (2011)

Ok... I think this is hands down the sexiest Keiko we’ve ever had (In a music video). High boots, stockings, short skirt in the front and long in the back, leather jacket with big shoulder pads. corset, velvety gloves, that beautiful neck piece... and all in red and black... Plus the short black hair (wig)... soooo badass... Wish we’ve had the chance to see these Magia outfits more...

Symphonia (2011)

Keiko looks like royalty here. The marble-like pattern of the dress is really nice and you can’t miss the corset. Those big earrings and the necklace go great with the whole thing, and the big highlight: Keiko’s beautiful hair!

Märchen (2017)

This is kind of a Frankenstein outfit. It’s kind of similar to the 9+ONE one aaand I like it..! The colour palette is pretty nice. All the colours and textures on the skirt make it really interesting, the dark red top is really pretty and I like the sleeves a lot too. Specially the lace one with the puffy shoulder and wrist. The heels on the picture are really nice too. As the Magia one, these are outfits I’d have liked to see more... At least they made it to the release events.

A runner up here was the “Believe” outfit. It’s beautiful! But since all the girls’ outfits were kind of similar there, I decided to go with these. I hope one day we get to see Keiko again singing and performing... She’s amaizing and shines when she’s on the stage... meanwhile, I hope her year has had a great start and she’s doing well :) And that’s a wrap for this PV/MV category!

Kalafina’s All Time Best Looks/Outfits Challenge ～ Hikaru’s Prints Looks

It’s been a while since my last post on this challenge. I know I always say that choosing favourites looks from the girls is not easy, but... is NOT easy... haha  Let’s start..!

Kalafina Live 2010 Red Moon Pamphlet

Old Kala-vibe quota: Check! This is a rather simple look, but it’s really cute. The satin-ish dark dress has a lot of work. All the pleats and layers on the skirt and the lace details on the upper part make it really interesting. And of course, there has to be a corset. The glove is a nice touch and the white on the head piece is a nice contrast to the overall dark look. Her hair looks beautiful here too.

Live The Best 2015 “Red Day & Blue Day” Pamphlet

There’s a lot of great looks of the girls around the “Red and Blue” albums and lives. I really like a lot of them. I like a lot how Hikaru’s upper body looks on this dress. All the embroidery on the upper part looks great and together with the long skirt is a very elegant look. The little lace sleeves are a cute detail and the silverish necklace looks great with all the red of the dress. It’d be nice if her bracelet matched the necklace, but, oh, well... I’ll let it go. I like her hair here too (this is fun to pronounce... XD)

Kalafina Calendar 2017

I’d like to have the chance to take a proper look of this dress since I’m guessing the lights and all the staging for the photoshoot enhanced it a lot here, but either way, it looks great. The neck/chest part together with the uncovered shoulders looks great on Hikaru, and I’m not sure how to say it, but the skirt and the sleeves being kind of the same thing looks awesome! I like a lot the contrast between the white parts with shiny details and the colourful patterns and translucence of the skirt.

Special mention:

Harmony Magazine Volumes

I just couldn’t leave these out. I’ve loved every Hikaru’s outfit featured on each Harmony Volume. The hair, the clothes, the make up (the Yukata, the Nana cosplay... there’s no way your heart didn’t skip a beat when red-lipstick-Hikaru appeared...)... even the casual clothes featured in some of her corners are great. I’m an absolute fan of Hikaru’s style, so, there.

To wrap up, I gotta say that Hikaru has a knack when it comes to be in front of a camera. Wether in lives or photoshoots, she is just great... a born performer. I really hope we get the chance to see some new stuff from her soon!!

『Kalafina’s All Time Best 』Looks/Outfits Challenge ~ DVD/BD Releases

Group Outfits:

Blue Day w/Jackets: I absolutely adore these dresses, but particularly with the jackets. Blue looks great on the girls, and they're so shiny and the jackets really give the dresses a badass feel.

9+ONE 2nd Outfits w/sleeves: The outfits by themselves are okay (except for Hikaru's imo) but the sleeves really help with the more mysterious and epic songs they wore them during. I wish they had worn them for the rest of the 2nd half.

consolation LIVE 2nd outfits: The silver corsets + black skirts + short boots = love. The sleeves on each of the girls also look lovely and sparkly. Overall, they look super flattering.

Wakana Outfits:

10th Anniversary Live Encore w/skirt: I really love this look on Wakana, it suits her voice and she looks majestic. I prefer this one to after they take the skirts off because I don't like the cut looks nice imo. The design of the top of the dress is quite nice and collarbone.

9+ONE 1st dress: I adore this dress. Wakana looks a whole lot nicer in a shorter cut imo. The colour looks beautiful and the puffy skirt looks super cute.

consolation LIVE 1st dress: I LOVE this colour and cut on her It's super flattering. The puffy shoulders really sell the dress for me. Her figure is really accentuated because of the belt and the way the skirt pans out in that simple way.

Keiko Outfits:

After Eden LIVE Main Outfit: I think this outfit is super sexy. The corset and that flowy sleeve along with those knee-high boots really make Keiko look super alluring.

far on the water Special Live Encore Outfit w/Jacket: The way the jacket reaches the length of the dress really makes it special for me. The embroidery of the jacket with the flowing skirt looks really pretty. She just looks awesome and although the dress by itself looks cute - I prefer this version.

Red/Blue LIVE Encore: Even though I think that the cut of the top is a bit too low, this dress is super cute with the design of the black and gold. With such a short dress, the long black boots (that you can't see in the picture) really complete the outfit.

Hikaru Outfits:

9+ONE Encore: Such a simple dress that really suits Hikaru. The huge short boots (that you again can't see in the picture) really match the dress. The hair decorations and the cut of the neck and chest look really cute too.

red moon LIVE 1st outfit: This dress is stunning and looks incredibly on Hikaru. The puffy sleeves that go off the shoulders and texture is really flattering and the gloves and LOOOOOVEEEEE. I love everything about this outfit.

consolation LIVE 2nd outfit: I like the cut of Hikaru's outfit in particular along with her hairstyle. The choker as well is super cute. The sleeve really suits her.

Kalafina’s All Time Best Looks/Outfits Challenge - Official Lives Version

So, I already covered this during the 27 week challenge, but this time I’ll add some more.

~ Group ~

Far on the Water Live Interim Outfit:

This was an instant favorite of mine. Although we technically can’t count this outfit, because it was only worn for a very short time and a cover for the actual dresses, I wanted to include this one because of the idea behind it. This super shiny material together with the whole performance of “in every nothing” (which was just AMAZING) make them unique and show how much of great performers Kalafina were.

Arena Live 1st Outfit:

This kimono-style outfit is simply great. Again, more of a cover for the actual outfits of the concert, it can only be described as beautifully made and exceptional. I think it’s the first time they went for a more traditional japanese style and both “Alleluia” and “Hoshi no utai” were the perfect songs to underline that image.

9+ONE Live 1st Outfit:

Ah, 9+ONE, beautiful memories. I chose these dresses for this list, because not only was 9+ONE was my first real Kalafina concert, I just find them so very cute. Design-wise they are pretty much the same, yet each girl presents her dress very differently. I love the color choices, with those golden streaks and patterns connecting them all. I particularly like Hikaru’s, the blue is so bright and I really love it when she wears dresses that expose one of her shoulders.

Keiko - Red/Blue Day + After Eden

So for Keiko I had a hard time choosing outfits, because it’s often her dresses I don’t like so much (sorry girl, sometimes your skirt is just too short). However, her Red/Blue day dress (first one) really fit her well. I like that one side of the skirt is a bit longer than the other and I suuuuuper duper love her hair (with the hair behind the ear on one side) during both lives.

Her After Eden dress is also one of my favorites... I don’t really know why, she just rocks this outfits and again that exposed shoulder... xD

Hikaru - 10th Anniversary + Blue Day + Far on the water Live tour

Exposed shoulder to the fullest here. Hikaru seems to like that style because I have seen this quite a lot on her and she presents it so greatly. I took an instant liking to the 10th Anniversary dress, not only because I saw it “in real life”, I love that shiny silver/white color and the whole upper body part.

Same goes for her Blue Day outfit, that one side only strap, one side of the skirt longer than the other and this deep blue look great on her.

Also my favorite is the second (or third) Far on the Water dress. Not only is it in light purple (like my favorite Kalafina song), I just love the whole design of it.

Wakana - After Eden + 10th Anniversary + Red/Blue Day

So for Wakana, I went with the After Eden dress, pretty much for the same reasons as Keiko. I love her hair style and movements in that dress in general.

10th Anniversary is also in here, because I saw it myself and it is just beautiful. The Live DVD does not convey how shiny and sparkling it was, the white/golden colors and patterns, how it flattered her body and how natural she moved in it, it all made it the perfect dress for Wakana.

Lastly, her Red/Blue Day dress stands a bit out in terms of color. Yellow is far away from being my favorite color for dresses, but together with black and the golden stripes, she rocked that one.
