And if you’re not made for me, why did we fall in love?

This song fits them so well. I kind of wanted to show Wolfgang struggling with his feelings for her because he thinks she deserves “more”, but there is this pull between them that he can’t avoid. “Fear of the water” in this case would be his fear of how strong he feels towards her, but how he thinks they shouldn’t be together because he’s not the right thing for her. He makes the decision of letting her go at the end. I hope it makes sense, usually everything looks way better in my head lol.
