Really loved the eloquent Cebuano and English words chosen for "Si Kalipay" by Christina Newhard, translated by Jona Branzuela Bering, and illustrated by Happy Garaje. Didn't know that Tiktik was Cebuano for Manananggal (Tagalog), a spirit that can disconnect with its lower body, fly around, and has a long tongue. Makes for a great book for anyone wanting to learn about the mystical creatures that lurk, or guard, from the shadows.
