The reservoir is in the centre of the photo, with the Kama and Ik Rivers connected to it. The Kama River is the longest left tributary of the Volga River, and the Ik River flows north to meet the Kama as a left tributary. The town of Menzelinsk can be seen in the central bottom part of the photo, and Naberezhnye Chelny at the bottom left.
