my personal love story

I need to document this specific time in my life and this specific boy who changed my life more than he will ever know. I met him in New York City and I thought he was the most attractive boy I had ever seen. He and I went on many adventures around the city and one specific night was particularly wonderful. We walked to Central Park, stopping at all the art galleries on the way there. When we got to Central Park, we walked around and smoked cigarettes and talked and watched people. Later, he took me to the roof of our apartment building and we smoked some more cigarettes, my favorite kind - Kamel Reds. We just sat in the shadow of the Empire State Building, surrounded by the other lit-up buildings. We talked about life and relationships and movies and bad habits and addictions and about how I was leaving the next day. That morning, he bought me breakfast, got me a taxi and wiped away my tears as he kissed me goodbye. I think about him all the time and he tells me that he does too. I miss him so much and if I could have anything in the world, it would be that rooftop, that pack of Kamel Reds and that attractive boy I met in New York City who was so much more than his looks.
