not me getting so upset by my own unrepentant angsty fic that i started writing a fix-it au sequel for it lmao. un/fortunately i ran out of steam but i'm still gonna try and finish the couple scenes i got written so here's the first one. sami/jey/kevin, rated T to M bc i ain't getting to the E part.

Back in his hotel, dawn peeking in impertinently through the blinds, Jey reached for his phone with trembling hands.

'sami needs checkin on fyi'

He hit send before he could second-guess himself. Sami freaking out on himself after he went all sadistic on Jey was not exactly commonplace, but it had happened enough times for Jey to be familiar with the next step: Yes, I'm okay. Yes, I had fun. Here's a picture of the bruising so you can see it's healing fine. Yes, I'm changing the bandages. Here's a video of me jerking off while pressing the fresh cut you hid on the crease of my thigh. Yes, it hurts worse when I get hard. Yes, I like that about it.

Jey had a feeling he wouldn't be hearing from Sami like that this time. He wasn't sure that he wanted to hear from Sami like that this time. But that didn't mean he wanted Sami to spiral and stew on pointless guilt, so he'd done the responsible thing.

His phone buzzed.

'Sure. I saw the show.'

He hesitated, but his conscience had a rare win.

'after,' he clarified.

Then he put the phone down and went to grab his gym clothes. A pumping sesh would clear his mind. When he came back to the bed, clothes in hand, there was an unread message:

'I thought you were on break?'

'he asked'

It shouldn't have, but the sudden buzz of an incoming phonecall caught Jey unaware. The phone slipped through jerky fingers and fell on the bed. He picked it up. Considered not answering. Pressed the green button.

Kevin Owens appeared on his screen.

"Tell me everything," he said, no nonsense and to the point.

Jey did.

Jey glared at him.

"Well?" Kevin prompted him.

Jey held his gaze for a moment longer, on principle, then nodded. The movement pulled at Jey's roots where they were trapped in Kevin's fist. Jey's face went slack for a second.

Well, Kevin thought. Isn't that fun.

"Good boy," he cooed, softening the clenched fist to scratch at Jey's nape like a dog's.

He took his time thinking of what to say, relishing the unconscious shudders wrecking Jey's body as Kevin petted him.

"Speak, then," Jey gritted out through clenched teeth.

Kevin pulled Jey's hair gently in reprimand. He mentally counted to ten, on principle, then indulged the request.

"You cause a lot of trouble, you know that, Jey?"

The way Jey averted his eyes and stared at the wall told Kevin he did indeed know it.

"I went through all this effort to get the target off Sami's back and what do you do? Pant after him like a bitch in heat."

The door opened slowly.

Sami looked up to see Kevin Owens towering over him.

Oh, fuck.

His mind went into overdrive, spinning scenarios: Sami misunderstanding the situation (couldn't be, those moans of "c'mon uce, please" were still ringing in his head — it was Jey in there) and Kev thinking he was a creep stalker who couldn't leave him alone. Kev looking at him in contempt and closing the door wordlessly. Kev smirking and closing the door wordlessly. Kev grabbing him by the beard and dragging him in and punishing him for the filthy little voyeur that he was.

Nothing could have prepared him for what actually happened.

"Hey," Kevin greeted in a loud whisper. "He's taking a nap."
