Sera! She has special dialogue for an Adaar Inquisitor
TRU
Japhra, 4, 5, and 8
Oh, this got really long, really fast. I hope you like dwarves. And romance. And dwarven romance!
4. What would their romance route look like? Would they be romanceable?
Darn right, Japhra is romanceable. All genders and races are fair game. Once Japhra has been recruited, she’ll return to Haven with the Inquisitor, and there the flirting can begin. In general, Japhra appreciates a sarcastic wit, but if the Inquisitor pays her sincere compliments or flattery, she’ll be somewhat flabbergasted. Eventually, she’ll return the favor and praise them in kind. The actual romancing starts after the Inquisitor and Hawke have returned from the Western Approach. Japhra’s first few scenes are mostly her being suddenly wary that the Inquisitor would look at them as a romantic partner, followed by a brief encounter in which Japhra reveals herself to be asexual.
The next cutscene shows Japhra and the Inquisitor talking about the possibility of a romantic relationship. The Inquisitor can either accept a relationship without sex, or Japhra will call off the relationship on her own, claiming they can just be friends in the meantime. If the Inquisitor does accept a relationship without sex, Japhra will be excited but slightly cautious. The final step of the relationship quest is a puzzle: the Inquisitor must find out how to say “I love you” in the dwarven language.
Japhra, 7,8, and 20
Japhra Cadash is my child. My brave dwarven Inquisitor. I would sings songs about her. I would wear her face on t-shirts. I love her… I love her so much.
*sniffles*
7. Who is your character’s best friend?
If you were to ask Japhra before the explosion of the Divine Conclave, she would have said without hesitation that her best friend was her cousin, Lantos Cadash. They grew up together and trained side-by-side, he a warrior and she a dual-wielding rogue. But when things went wrong at the Conclave, and Japhra emerged with green crystals that looked horrifyingly like lyrium growing out of her palm… distance grew between them, and not just the literal distance as she traveled around Ferelden and Orlais. Sometimes, when big, crazy things happen to you, you change as a person. That’s what happened to Japhra, and that’s what will take Lantos a while to come to terms with. Until he does, their relationship is going to be under some of strain. Eventually, Lantos will decide that enough is enough, and he gets his cute dwarven butt to Skyhold. Once Japhra introduces him to the gorgeous and deadly Scout Lace Harding… yeah, he decides that the Inquisition isn’t totally awful so bad.
8. Who is your character’s worst enemy?
Japhra’s worst enemy is not, as one might have expected, Corypheus. The person she hates, the person she wants dead by her own hands more than anyone else, is the Dasher. And if that name sounds familiar, it’s probably because it’s the name of the dwarf who put a hit out on her during her early days at Haven. The Dasher was a cruel and petty man who only obtained his position in the Carta through intimidation and luck. He kept Japhra, and by extension, Lantos, under his thumb for years. He used them as his own personal assassins and thugs whenever he could. Japhra has done a lot of things she isn’t proud of, and most of them happened while she was trapped working for the Dasher. Had another, more-powerful member of the Carta taken Japhra to spy for them at the Divine Conclave—an opportunity Japhra had barely dared to dream about—she would have ended up in Valammar with the rest of the Dasher’s crew, and would have been killed accordingly when the Inquisitor showed up there some months later.
20. Is your character currently in love? Is there anyone in love with your character?
Japhra is currently trying very hard to not fall in love with a certain blonde-haired, honey-eyed, scarred-lipped ex-templar whose name is not Cullen Stanton Rutherford. Japhra knows unfortunately intimately what a lyrium addiction can do to a person. She’s utterly terrified to commit herself to someone addicted to lyrium, who could very well die whether he chooses to stop taking the crystal or not. However, we can all agree that Cullen is a very unique sort of stubborn…
… and if a certain, Chantry-fed, Ferelden-born Commander is wondering why he wants to wrap a proud ex-Carta spy in the warmest blanket he has and then maybe wrap himself around her to keep her from her nightmares, nevermind his own, well. That’s hardly anyone’s business, isn’t it?
4, 17, and 21 for the ask meme
4.What season reflects their personality best?Hmmm that’s hard, I’d have to pick Spring though! Bright and cheery (also flowers galore) but also prone to long weeks of just rain shower....seems pretty accurate for Alela.17.Who do you think they’ll get along with best among their companions, if any?Other than Blackwall lmao, Dorian is her closest friend but so are Vivienne and Solas!! She gets along well with everyone to be honest... She loves all her companions like family!!21.What’s your Inquisitor’s opinion on each of the various races, if any?On Elves: Elves are good people, her people, and even those who were not raised with the elvhen pantheon (city elves/etc) are good people. She is very religious and used to shove dalish religion on other elves a lot... (sera disliked her in the beginning lmao) but eventually stopped after seeing it from another point of view. She views them favorably and has a heavy bias.On Dwarves: She respects them for their crafting skills and feels safer when they are around than if she was around a group of humans. Finds their stature to be very cute. (She wont say this out loud in fear of insulting them though.)On Humans: General dislike, and mistrust towards them because of bad prior experiences. Especially human men. (Yet who did she fall in love with....) Very wary of them, and feels uncomfortable around most of them.On Qunari: Their height and size amaze her because she can’t understand how people can be so huge, she’s very curious about them. Their horns remind her of Halla, and other woodland beasts so she likes their appearance and wants to touch them. (She wont....but shes thought about asking Bull before) Some of them make her feel uneasy after Trespasser.
Shiro Lavellan, C,F, and O
I AM SO LATE ON THIS BUT THANK YOU FOR ASKING ABOUT MY BOY
Co-Habitate :: Do they live with anyone? What’s “need to know” before moving in?
Shiro needs his personal space and privacy so anyone who lived with him would have to understand that. He hates being touched and keeps his home ridiculously cold. There is also Rinaka, his long haired cat that is hideous and spoiled rotten. He loves her to death and anyone who she doesn’t like/doesn’t like her probably isn’t going to last long.
Fluff :: What hits their soft spot? Does anything them into emotional goo?
GOD. HE LOVES DANCING. He’s super graceful and incredibly good at it, but not the human dances that are stiff and contained and just a series of steps, no he likes the dalish dances. Spinning wildly around the camp fire, and laughing and drunk on summer wine. He hardly ever let’s himself be free like that anymore.
Offspring :: What kind of parent would they be? Would they prefer one, or multiple?
He is awful with children, he always snaps at them and makes them cry. He has too little patience, so i doubt he would have a child anyways. He does have an apprentice, Dinlaselan (Din for short) an ex-slave from Tevinter specifically Seheron, who he ended up more or less adopting when she killed her owner. He’s kindof overbearing and controlling with her (think Tenzin and Korra from the Legend of Korra) but he’s kindof like that with everyone he cares about.
You've probably looked it up by the time I've written this, but raw milk is unpasteurized milk. Straight from the cow.
i did look it up and i am.... disgusted
