Total Word Count: 2,831 words
🛠Eustass Kid🛠
Word count: 1,017 words
Kid was restless and pacing, he never thought that he would be feeling as nervous as he did right now, nor did he even consider the possibility that he would be in this current situation, the situation being a wedding, more specifically, his wedding. And as the one being wed, everyone had been making sure that he looked his best. Kid was a tad annoyed with all the fussing that was going on around him in regards to how he looked and was quite irritated that dusting his coat off wasn’t going to cut it. Kid thought about {Name} and if they were having as hard of a time as he was in regards to this whole thing.
{Name} was jittering and nervous, but there was more to it than that…they had heard people mention something about ‘cold feet’, but they never once expected it to be like this. {Name} loves Kid, more than anything and anyone, there was never any question or doubt about that. Even so they could not help themselves from wondering if marriage was really the right thing. What was it that had them so incredibly nervous in the first place? “I still have time, maybe I should just clear my head a bit” {Name} mumbled, looking out at the island the ship was currently anchored at. {Name} slipped out of the room, deciding just for a little bit they would go out for some fresh air, to get away from the crazed bustling of the crew that was trying to prepare the wedding. They needed to calm down.
“I said its fine!” Kid growled towards his crewmates who were currently trying to stop him, everyone had protested telling Kid to be patient and wait for {Name} as it was bad luck to see them before the ceremony. Kid ignored everyone, not heeding what they were saying. At the very least having the courtesy to knock on the door, Kid walked in to find a desolate room. “{Name}??” He looked around, opening the cupboard under some strange impression they may have been protecting that same tradition and tried to hide in the cupboard, although it was just as empty as it was before. His partner was nowhere to be found. Sighing, Kid walked out of the room sporting a serious look, one of which Killer could only feel concern over. “Killer, give me the rings” Kid demanded, looking towards the door, as Killer looked at his waiting hand. “Kid?”
Based on the complete silence, Killer at the very least could tell he was being serious. It was strange, Kid wasn’t angry, Killer could tell that much but he seemed more along the lines of determined. He placed the ring in his Kid’s hand, to his surprise “Where is the other one?” Kid asks, knowing that he had originally given Killer two. “{Name} took the other one.” Killer states, confused since he had been under the impression that Kid knew about it. With Kid leaving the ship, it left the crew to talk amongst themselves as to what was happening to the wedding, of course the majority of the crew was more concerned over when they would be able to get their hands on all of the delicious food that Killer had been preparing and fiercely guarding for today.
{Name} sat taking a few deep breaths, it was quiet and peaceful. “I should get back to the ship…” Despite saying that, their feet refused to move, they would not even budge an inch. {Name} suddenly grew aware that their hands were slightly trembling as well “This is ridiculous.” They inwardly scolded themselves over not being able to control even simple motor function. “I need to get back”
“No need.”
{Name} jolted from surprise at the voice “Kid?” their head turned around to the origin of where they heard the voice coming from and sure enough, there he was. {Name} blushed at the sight of Kid seeing how he was dressed, only furthering the reality of what exactly it was {Name} was taking a step into. “Kid…I” {Name} at the very least wanted to tell Kid that what he probably assumed had happened wasn’t actually the case. Kid came closer, gently placing his hand on their head. “Knowing you, you’re probably over thinking things.”
Kid offered his hand, watching as {Name} hesitantly took it. As soon as they did he had pulled them to their feet. “I know… I was feeling the same” Kid admitted, much to {Name’s} surprise. “At least, I was until I saw you. I would be an idiot not to take such a treasure” he grinned watching {Name} blush at his words. “It feels better with you here.” {Name} says, as they held Kid, feeling reassured by his presence and his words. Kid showed such an uncharacteristically gentle smile that completely caught {Name} off guard “Marry me {Name}?” he awkwardly scratched his face and held out the ring, while {Name} nodded without hesitation, a bright smile on their lips as he slid the ring onto their finger. {Name} reached for his ring with Kid holding out his hand expectantly, with the surprise of {Name} placing it around his neck. Seeing that his partner had placed his ring on a slim chain “I figured you’d lose it fighting if it were on your hand” {Name} bashfully chuckled, only with a grin in response to their sweet forethought. Knowing it was an accurate assumption on their part. Without waiting any longer Kid finally pulls them in for a kiss.
Bonus:
Out of sight of the couple, Killer was crying tears of joy over Kid being so mature as he felt a tap on the shoulder, noticing Wire holding a tissue for him. Heat accidentally let off a confetti popper when the crew took that as a cue to give their cheers only to be hushed. With the lot of them quietly cheering “Congratulations” to the couple, as soon as Kid and {Name} had arrived back at the ship…much to everyone’s happiness they went straight into partying and breaking out the food and booze.
🍜Killer🍜
Word count: 1013 words
Killer kept catching glances in the mirror, going to readjust his outfit, not being entirely used to wearing something so… restrictive. In the sense that it is not something he could go out and comfortably fight in. He got up for one more glance as soon as he felt a rather hard smack land on his back from Kid. “Relax Killer.” Despite the very obvious message for him to calm down, he was still fidgeting and left restless. Trying to calm down when his masked was pulled off of his face and Kid was left looking at a very nervous Killer, to which he found Kid’s triumphant grin to be considerably annoying before snatching his mask and putting it on, inspecting it for any dirt. “Kid…” Killer grumbled opening his mouth for a lecturer when a knock at the door interrupts him. Much to Kid’s relief. A crewmate passes a folded piece of paper to Killer, and to his curiosity as he unfolds it to read the familiar hand writing with only two words “I’m sorry”
He could tell it was {Name’s} handwriting, but as for the reason they were saying sorry he had no idea what they had meant by that, feeling concerned he had decided to go and check on them. While in pursuit of looking for {Name} and being completely unable to find them especially in the places where they should have been, his mind wanders back to the words “I’m sorry” finally making sense to Killer as to what they meant.
With Killer and {Name} vanishing into thin air, the Kid pirates were all in a stir looking for the missing couple and only assuming that they disembarked. While everyone vacated the ship, leaving it dead quiet and isolated. {Name} peaked their head out and made sure no one was around, sitting under the makeshift altar that was going to be the centrepiece of today’s ceremony. “How ironic this would be the best place to hide” {Name} muttered to themselves, slumping against the side. It was the creeping doubt and uncertainty that had evolved into insecurity and worry, over themselves and Killer wondering things like “What if Killer is making the wrong choice with me?” it kept them questioning themselves, and knowing Killer, how wonderful he is. {Name} only ever wanted the best for him which made them question if they were really the best for him. {Name} got lost in their thoughts again, all they could really do is give him an apology now and an explanation later. Honestly, {Name} didn’t know what else to do. Their head dropped into their hands, feeling uncertain over this decision as well. Whether or not it was the right one “I should have just ignored the doubts, why do I do this??”
Killer was still running around, noticing the ship was completely bare of any of the crewmates, assuming that they were out looking for {Name}, as he ran past he could see {Name} sitting underneath the altar. “{Name}” he sighed in relief.
{Name} looked up to see Killer completely out of breath, no doubt from all the running around he had been doing. “K-Killer? What are you doing here?” they stumbled on their words. He could see it, and hear it in the tone of their voice. It seemed as if {Name} was going to cry. He felt that sense of dread leave as he held them in his arms “I was so worried.” his words only seemed to be proven by the way he held them, as if it were the last time he would get to. “Killer, I’m sorry…I…just…are you making the right decision…choosing me?” it was all or nothing at this point and worrying over the fears alone over what his thoughts could be was not helping. {Name} needed to know. Killer was taken aback by the suddenness of their question “I wouldn’t choose anyone else” He said firmly, without any dishonesty in his words, noticing the shock on his partners face, and the tears that welled up in their eyes “I’m such an idiot, I went and caused all this trouble for nothing.” Killer wiped their tears, cradling their face softly with his hands. {Name} smiled, laughing a bit at the irony of it all “I’m sorry Killer, I probably look like such a mess right now.”
{Name} feels something on their head, looking up to see Killer’s face through pinhole visibility, their hands touching and feeling it was Killer’s mask. Their heart skipped a beat when they saw his face, the smile he had and just how happy he looked was enough to last them for a lifetime. “The formalities don’t matter, whether it is now or years from now, I’ll wait as long as it takes {Name}. I’m not going anywhere unless it’s with you” Killer states, holding {Name’s} hands with a gesture of reassurance.
Deciding to take advantage of that swell of confidence that has arisen in their hearts {Name} smiles “Killer, let’s get married… just like we planned” {Name} asks, feeling all their worry from earlier having faded.
“What the hell!? We were searching for the two of you!” Kid yells out, followed by the crew who look incredulously at {Name} and Killer who are standing under the altar. “It’s my fault I—“ {Name} quickly goes to explain, as Killer stops them. “What took you so long, we were waiting for you all to arrive” Killer stated, flashing a quick smile to {Name}.
Bonus:
“That was a bit of a rocky day wasn’t it?” Killer says while running his fingers through {Name’s} hair. “All because I was being an idiot you know.” they reply.
“Honestly, I don’t even know how I came to the conclusion that was the best decision.”
“Well regardless of everything that happened, we still got married. Even if you had run further than the ship I probably would have still gone after you.”
{Name} smiles, “I know.” They tap gently on his mask, Killer lifts it as he feels a quick kiss on his cheek from {Name}.
🔥Portgas D. Ace🔥
Word count: 801 words
{Name} peaked in to see everyone, just exactly how many guests there were lined up, sitting and standing filling the venue. Their eyes looked at Ace, standing and waiting for them. They felt that swell of overwhelming emotion hit them and in a bout of disbelief, the feeling of this “Is this really real?” {Name} could tell Ace was happy, seeming to sway gently to the music that was playing inside under the chatter of everyone. When {Name} felt the sick feeling settling in their stomach, unable to fully deal with just how many people there were…It was nerve wrecking, already they were feeling nervous even before seeing the endless amount of people. {Name} could hear the people, murmuring and a few glances turned to the entryway, leaving {Name} paralyzed momentarily before stiffly shuffling away and trying to calm down. “Oh no…no, I can’t do this…uh… what should I do, should I call Ace?” {Name} anxiously bit their lip, pacing back and forth before walking the opposite direction. With the sound of people seeming to close in on them, the walk turned into a run.
“The altar isn’t that way-yoi”
{Name} looks up to see Marco perched on a tree. “I know, I just… I can’t really deal with all the people and every time I get close and see how many there are I get all sick to my stomach and…and…” {Name} starts falling into a spiral, growing increasingly more anxious, Marco could see just how distressed {Name} was and conflicted. “I can’t keep Ace waiting… but” and to {Name’s} surprise, Marco doesn’t press any further before walking past them with a gentle tap on the shoulder. “It’s alright.” {Name} nods their head, sitting somewhere where there are no more voices and no more people.
Marco walks in and goes to take his seat, flashing some sort of sign to Ace as he takes off running followed by the surprised gasps and whispers of everyone, while Marco whispers something to Whitebeard.
“{Name}!” Ace calls out as he finds them, seeing just how jittery they look. “Huh? A-A-Ace?? What are you doing here?” {Name} stutters out surprised over seeing him. “I decided to come to you instead.” Ace smiles, leaning down and looking up at them “I swear Ace you are something else” {Name} sighs in relief. Feeling that contagious smile spreading to them as well, Ace holds their hands, gently kissing their fingers before pulling them in for a kiss. His hand resting gently on their face as they tried to speak. “Isn’t this supposed to wait?” {Name} says against his lips, feeling another gentle kiss from him as they separate, his eyes looking into theirs. “I’m impatient.” {Name} gives him another kiss, feeling him stand up and with nudging tug on their hand, urging them to stand. {Name} takes the invitation, feeling Ace holding their hand as they take a slow walk back.
“You ready?” He inquires looking at {Name’s} evidently worried face. They nod, still feeling nervous but somehow much better having Ace at their side. “It’s alright {Name}, we don’t have to if you do—“
“I want to Ace” {Name} insists, “I already ran once today, I’m not intending on doing it again.” Ace laughs “This is why I love you, but if gets a little too much. Just keep your eyes on me”
Taking one last deep as they walk in together, {Name] is shocked to find the venue scarce and lacking the vast majority of guests that were there previously, instead they see Pops, Marco, Jozu, Vista, Izo and a few others waiting for them. Cutting the few thousand that were here earlier into a maximum of thirteen, which seemed to alleviate all of the nervousness {Name} had previously.
After going through the various formalities, it finally comes times for their official kiss, Ace had insisted on wearing his hat, and suspecting his partner might have been feeling a bit bashful, he stepped closer hiding them from sight behind his hat as he kisses them again. “That was the best one today” he chuckles, pulling away and laughing, leaving {Name} flustered. Smiling at Pops and their few crewmates, Ace and {Name} are officially wed, despite the very turbulent start to it all.
Bonus:
All of the guests were suddenly shoved out by order of Whitebeard, minus himself and a handful of people. Everyone else was told to vacate, being more than welcome to join the celebrations after and no one was stopping them from watching from a distance. If one were to look in the distance, there was an amass of people staring through telescopes and binoculars, some crying with joy over seeing the processions and cheering for Ace and {Name}, which could be heard when their cheers were as loud as they were.
