Happy you liked my picture of you with a little holiday cheer. Is there anything you like to do for the holidays? Alone or with your family?
Of course I liked it. It is a wonderful and festive image. I know some people see me as a bit standoffish and probably a bit of a grump, but I do love this time of year.
As for how we handle this time of the year we balance our time between doing for others and doing for ourselves. More than any other time of year, when it gets cold we do more to help the homeless. They are the only people that see us regularly and we do what we can to hide ourselves. We bring them whatever we can scavenge or make.
Once it gets too cold to safely be outside long we start our family traditions. We make gifts for each other for Christmas, one each. This way it is fair and no one feels overwhelmed.
As for myself, I have a few personal traditions I observe during this time of year.
The holidays are time to be with family and friends, but so is any other time of year. I will say we try harder to get along around now, mostly because we are cooped up together a bit more so fights are more common. So we have to work a bit harder to get along and not invade each other’s space too much.
Moving lairs and expanding our existing lair to give us each our own space has gone a long way to help with that.

I know for me it hard to tell people to stop trying to set me up with people as I am not attracted to humans >.> it's really hard when everyone thinks you need a married partner to be complete in some way. I love myself. I enjoy my alone time just fine. I also love my friends. I just am not in the norm and it's hard to tell people that everyone doesn't fit in a neat box. I have thought about weddings in the past and really think I would some day. However now, no so much.
Oh I did not mean to imply that people who weren’t married are incomplete. Not at allll. Sorry if you thought that’s what i meant. If people are happy being on their own, that’s great! And totally that person’s business. I was just remarking that society makes it hard for people not to feel that way, it’s crammed down our throats so much. And how that affects me *personally*, being a person who - as much as I hate to admit it - kinda does want that. But I just don’t see it happening at this point. Eh, it’s whatever. There’s still plenty of good things in my life.
I just want to say thanks for sharing with me what you are greatful for. It made me smile to see it.

Awwwww, thank you, honey! ^^ I’ll do my best, although I’ve gone through a lot regarding my (fanfiction) writing lately. It’s awesome you have more time now to be creative, too. Yay for creativity! ^^
