Juliet carefully puts a few drops of CBD oil into her tea— a relaxing blend that would surely help her sleep after the long trip. She replaces the cap and makes sure it’s secure before slipping it back into the pocket of her cardigan. Juliet had dressed warmly and fashionably and her wool trousers and long sleeve shirt compliment her figure while her knit cardigan looks comfortably baggy. She stirs the tea and brings it to her lips sipping carefully. When it proves to be too hot Juliet puts the mug down and carefully steps over to the fridge and freezer, leaving her cane leaning against the counter near her mug. “Ice cubes, ice cubes...” she murmurs to herself as she opens the freezer.

With a flute of champagne in her hand, Juliet watches the ball-goers dance in the middle of the impressive ballroom. She’d had her dance with Nikolai a certain contentedness had placed itself in her chest and made her content. The array of outfits was incredibly eclectic, but she wondered sometimes if price blinded people to the ugliness of certain items, or if a person wanted to demonstrate their wealth so much that they didn’t care about looking ridiculous in something. She liked to think that even in her modest celebrity and earnings that she’d remained grounded enough to always look good. She valued that. It was something she could always control.
