Television actors Shabbir Ahluwalia and Kanchi Kaul, who became parents of a baby boy one and half years ago, are expecting their second child in February. Confirming the news, Shabbir says, "Though I'm busy shooting for my show 'Kumkum Bhagya', I ensure that I make time to play with my son, Azai. He waits for me to wrestle with him when I return. Till now, Kanchi has been fulfilling the responsibilities of both the father and mother. I'm hoping that our second child will be a girl." He explains, "As the old saying goes, one should not talk about one's child till he or she is born. But this time, Kanchi and I are bindaas and are talking about it." Ask him if fatherhood has mellowed him down and he says, "I felt like an older brother to Azai till now as I only play with him rather than performing any fatherly duties.
