Cognitive Dissonance: It was for this reason that through Colonialism and the enslavement that was a part of it, our Fore-Fathers were not permitted to read, write nor pray. This stripped us of our core beliefs, as they were not being passed down through the enslaved generations. Anyone found knowing the name of God, Allah; knowing how to write; knowing how to pray; were murdered for their knowledge. This was done for 300 years. The only thing we were taught was how to serve our Colonizers, being completely obedient to them. This replaced our core beliefs with the beliefs that the Colonizers desired, which made us subservient to them. Some people have said to me that this was the distant past; it already happened and it does not matter now. Nothing could be further from the Truth. What our Fore-Fathers endured through enslavement and colonization was the making and building up of this western civilization. This is the very civilization we still live in today; and if one is prudent in studies, you will find that these conditions are still prevalent in today's society. So much so that when one is presented with the truth of our origin: the knowledge of God, Self, the Enemy, and the Time it is met with bitter opposition due to the recent core beliefs that were installed via colonization and enslavement. The cognitive dissonance causes those who don't seek knowledge to reject that knowledge before they look into it. For them, the information they think is new information does not match what we learned from the slave masters for over 400 years. Therefore, it is rejected by the majority. The cognitive dissonance experienced today is the greatest I've seen. The teaching of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad is met with the most cognitive dissonance as it brings us face to face with the Knowledge of God, Self, Satan (the enemy), and the Time. There is no body of knowledge that is more ancient, more advanced, and more up to the time than the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. In repairing ourselves to return to our original state, we must consider, study and dive into the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad via his greatest student in our midst in the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. Doing this will return our original and natural core beliefs to us and reinstate us in the Heavenly God-state that we perpetuated while living in our own land and among our own people.
In order to shift focus, we need to shift perspectives. Our perception of TIME is what keeps us bound to this mundane world...
