honestly the possibility of getting asks didn't even reach me when i reblogged KSDJKDS but i appreciate it tysm!!! i have 2 ocs as of now, sungwoon (she/her, poly) and kate (they/them, seven) but both are in development and i'm suffering so this helps actually

Band name: How did they and the others come up with the band name? Has the name changed since it was founded?
Sung-won: she came up with the name WBM herself which is an acronym and is related to astrology; they teased her about being such an astrology girlie at first but then most band members were like, oh you know what it does sound pretty dope tho! while others simply agreed reluctantly lol they had a different band name before this but i haven't come up with it and it's not that important ig
Kate: i'm honestly still undecided about their band name- i'm leaning towards Dance of the Planets which is a pretty name for planetary conjunction but tbd; regardless, i know that basically when they were initially looking for a band name at one point they heard about something cool-sounding while at school and just, absent-mindedly scribbled it in their notes. Sev saw it and thought it would be a perfect name! After Seven left the band there was brief talk about changing the name but it was quickly shut down, which, Kate was quite relieved about 😭
Songwriting: What’s their process? Is it different than it was when they used to write songs with Seven?
Sung-won: is very 'scientific' about songwriting, always was; for the vocal parts she starts by highlighting what the son's gonna say in colour-coded bullet points, then works them into actual lyrics. When Seven was there, Sungwon left her completely in charge of the vocal lyrics and only focused on her own rap parts (since that's her strong suit), but now she either works on them herself and then checks them with the band or directly co-writes w one of the others.
Kate: very Classic about songwriting, a worn-out notebook filled with doodles and lyrics and poems soon-to-be-lyrics and ink blots and coffee stains. Writes either random lines or just furiously scribbles a whole ass song fuelled by sleep deprivation and Visions lmaoo. With Seven, because they used to duet and they wanted their songs to feel like a dialogue of sort, they each wrote their own parts but they did it together so they could confront and make sure it was a cohesive song. After Seven left, songwriting turned from something Kate really enjoyed to an emotional outlet, and something they like to do on their own. The process didn't really change, just their mindset, and the fact that they stopped writing about love altogether because they could only write about Seven (well, they have a Bunch of will-never-see-the-light-of-day love songs in their notes, they just don't share with the band lol); there's a couple of love songs in their current repertoire but those were all written by other band members.
Hero: What is their favourite thing about G? Why is your MC such a big fan?
Sung-won: initially, it's an aspirational crush. G is everything Sungwon wants to be, and just the musical innovation, stage presence, charisma, talent, that's what get her attention! I want to see how the story develops for myself before making Assumptions but I feel like eventually what will get her will be G's sensibility and fragility? Not in "I can fix you" way, just, "Let me love you" way lol
Kate: oh for Kate it was 100% about the music and what G gave to the music world. And I'm not sure if it'll be a possibility but I do feel like they will possibly feel disappointed meeting the 'real' G Reign...
