I bought an infant insert for our ergo, and I’m not sure about it -
1) I feel like the pillow wedge makes him sit way too high so his neck isn’t actually getting any support, but that can’t be right because he’s not that long? He looked a better height when I used the insert without the pillow but then his feet fell into the waistband and I don’t feel like he was supported in a good position.
2) the arm straps are easy to tighten but they’re in a weird position to reach if I want to loosen them for breastfeeding. Is this just something I have to live with or does anyone have a magic breastfeeding tip that I’m not aware of?
Pro: scout was a LOT happier and I think it’s because it’s much more weatherproof than the stretchy and he’s super snuggly in it. It’s also easier to get on quickly.
The stretchy wrap is great for breastfeeding but for some reason Scout doesn’t seem quite as happy in it. While it’s easier for breastfeeding but I’m also a LOT more exposed if I’m walking around feeding him on the go when out and about - the ergo gives more coverage. I’m also good at putting the stretchy on, but it still takes a while to get it properly adjusted and I can imagine if I was out on my own with the two boys I’d get very flustered.
I dunno. anyone got any advice?
