when i was watching riverdale for the first time i was so shocked by how gay it is because people talk about it like its about straight people for straight people when that is definitely not the case. Yes season1 suffers from token stereotypical gay syndrome but theres a main character whos a gay man (he sucks but hes still gay), 2 out of 3 female leads are bisexual and the other is a lesbian who is in a beautiful developed romance with another bisexual woman who was at one point married to a bisexual man and they had a bisexual son and that man dated the main gay guy for a while and also this other canonically bisexual guy who has a gay dad and also the main male lead is the closest thing you can get to bisexual without explicitly stating he likes men its just implied and he has homoerotic relationships with two of his boy bestfriends and also his mom is bisexual and oh the main girl and her half brother and fake half brother who are both evil serial killers in a surprisingly wholesome relationship with each other and even break out of prison so they can get married and of course the other main guys homoerotic rivalry with his classmate whose actor said played him as gay and the gay theatre sweetheart in the last season who ends up with the main gay guy and of course the iconic 14 year old redhead lesbian and a conniving sapphic half-sister and how about an entire biker gang of butch lesbians and a lesbian musician and and a biker gay guy and also the sheriff is actually into men too hes with the main guys homophobic uncle who is actually gay and a lesbian witch and a lesbian fbi agent and a lesbian museum curator and heres the main female leads but in another generation/universe who are also lesbians and heres a villain whos an evil wizard and what else yep he is also bisexual
anyways my point is do not be fooled rivergayle is very much very very gay
