Just felt like writing out this little scene since I highly doubt it’ll come up in the RP (Unless, of cource, a paradox sends everyone back in time a few months XD)
'Nearly there, Manju,' Kanja grinned, scratching his roc's neck as the powerful bird beat its wings, soaring through the sky with ease.
Manju seemed to have realized where they were heading a few miles back and had been getting extremely excited. How the giant eagle knew they were going to a caravan site that constantly changed location, Kanja had absolutely no idea. Maybe Manju just had a sixth sense that was telling him they were going home.
Kanja’s grin widened as he spotted four specs in the distance; they were mounts.
'Here we are, Manju,' he laughed, an overwhelming joy flooding his system.
Kanjanur hadn’t realized just how much he’s missed his family and his home until he’d seen his family’s mounts.
'Hang on a minute,' he murmured, brow furrowing before, 'Manju, quick!'
Steering his mount out of the way just in time, Kanja turned in the saddle to watch as blur of brown and yellow flew past him, mere inches from where he’d been just econds before.
'Nithya!' he shouted, instantly recognizing the mount and its owner, who was currently grinning from ear to ear as his half-hawk, half-leopard gryphon turned and drew level with Manju.
'Hurry up and land,' Nithya replied, reaching out an arm to give his little brother a friendly punch on the arm, the only place he could reach while the two of them were strapped into their saddles.
Kanja rolled his eyes and steered Manju downwards, closely followed by Nithya.
Almost as soon as the two had landed and unstrapped themselves from their mounts, Nithya half-hugged, half-tackled his beloved little brother.
'I've missed you,' he said, happily.
'You nearly knocked me out of the sky,' Kanja protested, not really minding and doing absolutely nothing to push his brother away.
'Sorry about that,' Nithya grinned sheepishly, finally releasing the younger Bayrasni. 'You know how Amara gets, I think she's just as happy to see you and Manju as I am.,' with this, he gave his mount a pat on the neck.
'Run,' Nithya advised, quickly stepping out of the way as a blonde haired girl came tearing into view.
Kanja was, unfortunately, too slow to dodge as the girl, unlike Nithya, actually did tackle him. Once she’d got him sprawled on the floor, she proceeded to punch every part of him she could reach.
'Kanjanur, I'm going to kill you! Get off, Nithya!' she shouted, as her oldest brother tried to pull her off her victim.
'You've punished him enough, Aditi,' Nithya said, firmly.
Aditi, still glaring furiously at Kanja, released the older Bayrasni and let him stand again.
'I've only been back five seconds,' Kanja groaned, picking himself up, 'what can I possibly have done to annoy you?'
'You left for two years!' Aditi snapped, topaz eyes cold and unforgiving.
'Well, he's back now,' said a middle-aged man exiting the nearest caravan.
'That's right, Aditi, leave your brother alone,' said the woman following him.
Kanja beamed at his parents and ran to hug them. He was so glad that everyone was safe, even Aditi’s rage proved that everything was normal.
'Welcome home, Kanjanur.'
