I just watched big windup. I'm going to adopt mihashi. And Abemiha are so cute. They are so obvious. Their hand holdings. When They said I like you not just as teammate to each other I died. Also I can't help but ship kanoumiha. Kanou was so happy because mihashi called him his first name. And kanou thought mihashi was special before everyone else. And they are like bfs in long distance relationship. Also tajimiha. Tajima is fluent in speaking mihashi. Mihashi can say one word and Tajima can guess the rest. And they are so comfortable with each other. But I like this also as brotp.

summary: When the detailed ink creeping up and down his dad’s body became more than just a pretty decoration that Mihashi liked to tap his fingers across, tracing the elegant images, fascinated by how the tattoos stopped just so at the wrists, right before the end of a long-sleeved shirt. Mihashi always thought it as normal as the unadorned skin stretched over his own body.
But the tattoos were a symbol for what they were: Yakuza. Trouble. A world of deep loyalties and spirit and blood and money.
People didn’t think Mihashi was trouble anymore. At least not like the trouble he was supposed to become.
“Shuugo didn’t know why, exactly, but he could feel that this was going to be the start of something special.”
For the Oofuri Rarepair Ship Week! Starting things off with KanouMiha. Also crossposted at AO3.
The first thing Shuugo noticed was the baseball in the new kid’s hand.
“You play?”
The stranger—Ruri’s cousin, apparently, who had just moved in with them—nodded. “Um, yeah.”
“Wanna go toss it around? I’ll get my glove.”
The bright grin and eager Sure! that came afterwards nearly stopped his heart. Shuugo didn’t know why, exactly, but he could feel that this was going to be the start of something special.
He found out Ruri’s cousin’s name was Ren and that he was living with Ruri’s family so he could go to Mihoshi Academy. After the surprised What? I’m going there too! from Shuugo, they both excitedly began to make plans. Get to know each other more, practice up on their pitches (because Ren really liked to pitch just as much as Shuugo did), hopefully get into the same homeroom, walk home together, the things that really good friends—maybe even best friends—would do. Because apparently neither of them really had a best friend before.
“Do you think we can be best friends, Shuugo?” Ren asked one afternoon after they went to the convenience store for popsicles.
Shuugo furrowed his eyes. “Aren’t we already?”
Ren jolted suddenly at the answer, nearly dropping his popsicle. He clearly hadn’t expected it. “Well, I didn’t want to assume…”
“Ren,” Shuugo called, rolling his eyes. He slung an arm around those bony shoulders. “How long’s it been since we’ve known each other?”
“Two months?”
“Two months is a long time, you know!” He had felt a connection back when they first played catch in the Mihashis’ back yard all afternoon until he had to go home for dinner. Shuugo knew then and there he wanted to be friends with Ren. So when the tingly feeling in his chest started to happen, he took it as a signal that maybe Ren was more than just a regular friend—that he became a best friend. “So yeah… Uh…”
“I like being best friends,” Ren said, picking up where Shuugo trailed off.
Shuugo smiled. “Me too. So let’s be best friends forever, okay?”
“Okay!”
By the time Shuugo realized that the tingly feeling in his chest meant something else completely—something much more intimate than even best friendship—it was too late. The damage was done and Mihashi had left Mihoshi, shattered.
kanomiha is so endgame for me idec like i was so hardcore kanou and mihashi being ex boyfriends and learning to move on and love because that is GREAT but i just
long distance boyfriends is way too good to give up and even BETTER oh my god abe and mihashi building trust bc mihashi confides in abe that he has a super massive crush on kanou and abe is first a big butt thats like 'thats not gonna effect your playing when we play them again is it ??? you're not going to return to mihoshi are you ???' and mihashi has to reassure him no that his place is with nishiura and with abe and abe is like jeeze good but this helps them communicate and understand each other and abe is also just gay as hell so he helps mihashi handle that and coming out if he so chooses etc etc
and then the team learns about it and they all giggle and whenever mihashi gets a phone call or a text they're like 'ohhhhh ohhh is it shuu-chan????' and tajima is the cutest one about it and even sneaks up while mihashis talking on the phone to kanou and he leans into the receiver and says 'hey mihashi are you talking to your boyfriend kanou?' (and ofc tajima does this bc he KNOWS mihashi wants to bring it up to kanou but doesnt know how so hes like . . my boy this is your opening i am ur saving grace have fun with this. . ) and THEN THEY ARE BOTH STUTTERING AND EMBARRASSED AND DONT KNOW WHAT TO SAY and then kanou hears abe yell to mihashi to get off the phone no matter how much he loves his kanou that they need to get back to practice and kanou and mihashi are both just decimated at that point holy shit
after practice mihashi calls him again and apologizes and then kanou is like 'why do they say those things ren?' and mihashi stops for a really long time and eventually (essentially says) 'because i told them i liked you' (but in mihashi speak) and kanou is like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he literally mutes his phone and yells and jumps on his bed and kicks his legs even though hes exhausted from practice and then clicks it back on and is like 'I LIKE YOU TOO REN-REN' and mihashi is like DONT CALL ME THAT and they giggle and giggle and fall asleep on the phone together . . . .
I also ship OdaKanou and KanouHatake but only a little, I'm not too crazy about it.. and more crack pairings are KanouChiyo, and KanouShun B) kufufu.. I blame my friends XD MizuKanou is also crack, mostly liked due to the Oofuri Twitter RP..
So my more serious pairings would be: Abe/Kanou or Kanou/Abe, Kanou/Miha, and Kanou/Ruri.))
