The Mono Children Appear (And Disappear) | Kanpei | Prologue Reaction / Closed for Jitō
Kanpei hopped to his feet nimbly, rubbing at one eye. This wasn’t the first time he’d worked himself to the point of crashing and waking up somewhere strange, only… he didn’t remember being particularly deep in a task, and he usually recognized his surroundings after a moment or so.
He listened intently and politely to the warping childrens’ announcement, inwardly appreciating their dramatic entrances and eventual exit. The pastel-haired girl was a pretty well-spoken actor for her apparent age. But just how’d they get that flash of light, he wondered? And what was that about “over two years” again? Sure, he was paying attention, but it’s not like the story they were spinning made any sense to Kanpei. Surely none of this was cause for alarm, though?
Kanpei looked around the crowd with a loose smile on his face, stifling the tiny bit of unease he felt from the fact that this was not Hope’s Peak Academy.
“Are they all high school students…?”
For a moment he walked towards the door, but then Kanpei paused, and his smile fell. It had become a small frown upon noticing something off about someone’s face, and Kanpei stopped in front of the stranger with a small bow to get his attention. Kanpei slipped a hand into his black uniform and withdrew a red hand towel, offering it.
“Hello! I’m sorry, but are you aware you have something on your face this morning? Please, you can use this!”
Warriors Who Chase Philosophy | Kanpei | Ch. 1 | Closed for Talia
Kanpei made it his first mission to inspect the dining and restaurant area. He was still more than a little worried how they’d ended up here without any say in the matter, but he’d die before he let his fellow Hope’s Peak students have to stay somewhere that wasn’t completely spotless.
Which is why the bright red Visorman was now hunched over a table with a towel and cleaning fluid from the fried chicken place in each hand, furiously scrubbing at a spot on one of the tables. Truly, a sight to behold.
As silly as he’d looked before (and still looks), Kanpei moved with purpose and grace between each table. By the time someone else came into the dining hall, Kanpei had scrubbed clean a good quarter of the tables there. He waved the hand with the towel in it, enthusiastically greeting the student.
“Hello! You are Newton-shi, right? Oh, stop one moment!”
Kanpei dashed over to one of the other tables, picking up one of the two books he’d set there earlier, then he dashed back and held it out to the girl.
The Works of Nietzsche - A compilation of writings from everyone’s favourite nihilist. A rather dry read, but it has some great philosophical truths to it.
“That villain’s diabolical machine tried to slay a Visorman with this tome! …But THAT VILLAIN’s pager told me this is probably supposed to be for you.”
