this has happened to me as well, I think I solved it by spawning a new one and shooting at him until he reacted or fast travelling around a little bit. Annoying as hell. ):

And yeah, it’s such a weird bug, and it prevents me from doing all the DLCs and progressing in the story line without losing Dogmeat >:I

This is apparently a common bug tho? That he either disappears, is unresponsive, or both? I find it almost odd that there haven’t been some kind of bug fix mod for this yet.
