i signed up as a finisher with the loose ends project a while ago & just got matched with my first project. this morning i met with a lady whose mother started this vroom vroom racecar for her son ~15 years ago. the son is in his 30s now. here's the cute picture she took of me with the piece.
the confetti on this thing is gonna be killer but the grandmother (who is now 91 & unable to stitch anymore) kept all her threads & pattern notes meticulously organized, so i have my work cut out for me. i will make jeff gordon proud.
