Found a small cafe. I'm using a lot of Chinese by necessity during this trip, it's nice to see my comprehension, while still not great, is good enough that when the guy at the cafe said "I think foreigners like cheese" I was able to catch it, and laugh. I mean, he's not wrong, I do like it, and it's definitely funny. I am trying to be semi healthy on this trip though. So I got the veggie panini instead of the 3 cheese one .

My speaking ability is still trash though. My god. At least I can occasionally make myself understood. But I keep randomly inserting Japanese like "ano" and sometimes still putting verbs at the end. I was trying to remember the Chinese word for year and it took 3 tries because I went through "nen" and "toshi" first. And don't even ask about my pronunciation.

I'll post some pics of the mountain hike later. It was very nice.
