<p>As far as cities go, I really liked Gaoxiong. The air pollution was noticeable but not nearly as life altering as Beijing or Shanghai. It was a much more manageable sized city than Taipei, yet it still has a metro that puts you walking distance from most locations. Though I did almost get eaten by a chained up dog… and sunburnt through the haze. There were a lot of cool parks and hang out spots. Maybe it is because I’m on Jinmen, but there was also an abundance of young people! Everyone seemed to be a student (this includes University students). That was really refreshing. I also dyed my hair purple
