Thai Dara Restaurant - Kapitolyo, Pasig
Sharing your interests with other people might be one of the greatest feelings in the world. Talking about places, experiences, and everything under the sun seems to be fun because it is good that you exchange points and ideas inside your interest box.
Being in a new company, I am still adjusting myself with the environment, AGAIN and little did I know, I am making friends already. :) I tagged along with Erika and Mildred last Thursday and had our lunch out in Kapitolyo, Pasig.
Erika messaged me last Monday about this deal posted on beeconomic. It is a food deal for Thai food and it excites me so much when she showed it to me cos I haven't really tried Thai cuisines plus I am looking forward to visit Kapitolyo because I have been hearing a lot of good places to eat there! And my first try is Thai Dara Restaurant.
Bulletin full of good reviews! I had seen signatures and reviews from well-known people especially media personalities, basketball players and politics.
Our deal consists of Tom Yum Soup - Pad Thai - Bagoong Rice - Thai Fried Rice - Chicken Pandan all for 549 pesos!
Tom Yum Soup. I'm expecting more of an intense taste for this but sadly, it didn't reach my expectation. As far as I know, tom yum soup has this spicy, tangy taste and will definitely leave a kick as you sip it. I remember Erika said that this soup tastes like Sinigang lang. Good thing the shrimps were not tinipid! We got 10 pieces of shrimps for this bowl ata. Not bad at all. ;)
Bagoong Rice. HOW I LOVE BAGOONG!! I swear, mabubuhay ata ako ng bagoong at kanin lang! But take note, bagoong or shrimp paste is not good for the health when consumed too much. I like how they put slices of green mangoes on top with pork meats and scrambled egg. Super wagi and busog ka na for this plate pa lang!
Pad Thai. Nothing extraordinary but I love the noodles! Not too matigas or soft, just right for me. Honestly, when I was eating this, I hardly taste the toge (bean sprouts) and later realized na it has peanuts pala. I like the sweet taste plus the calamansi twist when you squeeze in some calamansi.
Chicken Pandan. It's a soft, sweet chicken wrapped in pandan leaves. I did not really taste the 'pandan' here but the taste of the chicken is compensates.
What I love the most about this restaurant is the size of the food servings. They are mostly good for 2-3 persons already. You know that it is not tinipid especially the Pad Thai! The 3 of us weren't able to finish it. The place is quite small. If you plan to have a lunch out here on a 'payday week', wait is there such a term? Hahaha, it is not actually a good idea. Just save up your money and reschedule it a week after payday.
I can't wait for our next Kapitolyo foodtrip! I think Mildred mentioned that we will try Ramen Cool the next time we visit this street! ;) Also, I am happy to know that it is near from our office. *All photos are from Erika's phone. :)*
