The Eva units are the absolutely worst designed mechs i have ever seen bar none.

I mean, Notwithstanding my love for Unit-01, I guess so? I think they were meant to fit in that weird, spooky, uncanny valley type of ‘vaguely human but you know they’re not because they just don’t FEEL right’ yknow? It adds to that otherworldly feeling you get when you watch Evangelion, and I like that shit.

For the whole same sex thing I'm assuming it's because it's 50's America where homosexuality was unheard of and I'm assuming the child would play a big part

Pretty much answered this before here and here, but I guess I can repeat it.

Racism and homophobia seems to not be that big of an issue in the Fallout pre-war universe (with the exception of the treatment of chinese-americans), at least not in comparison to our worlds 50′s (don’t quote me on that though). 

And besides, homosexuality wasn’t unheard of in the 50′s. The Gay Rights movement was around back then. Wiki got an article on homophile that might be interesting to read. And as I have stated earlier, Fallout is based on a 50′s vision of the future, not the actual 50′s.  

What do you mean with the child would play a big part? In the story after the great war? An all grown up ghoul kid? Because if you’re the sole survivor of 111, it’s 200 years after the war and the baby is still around, they must be a ghoul. Or a super mutant. Here comes Fawkes or Uncle Leo and you get to play So Your Kid Is A Super Mutant aka Parent Simulator 2015.

How come when it comes to the best fallout nobody is talking about tactics one of the best Imo

Because its place in the fallout universe is debated, it isn’t fully canon (hairy deathclaws for example, brotherhood of steel welcoming mutants as another) and because it plays so differently from the other games. It’s not as much role playing. It’s more of a spin-off than not. I think it’s a fun game, but not the best of the bunch.
