teppan sakaba, faber towers, taman desa.
best friend introduced this cool izakaya place to us, it’s really decorated like the izakaya found in japan with lots of vintage posters and toys. there’s lots of food on their menu and a good selection of alcohol too.
we ordered one of their sake to try, with lots of food to share while chit chatting - hamburg steak in miso stew, salmon shioyaki, shishamo, okonomiyaki, yuzu gyoza, grilled assorted mushrooms, and a bunch of skewers, chicken, pork, vegetable.
the food is quite alright, sharing is definitely great as you can get try more food and most of them does go well with sake. the hamburg steak is good with white rice too, very flavorful and appetizing, and the meat is tender. gyoza is crispy, with a hint of yuzu, it’s quite appetizing.
the ambiance here is quite lively, although not very spacious, there’s transparent shield in between tables, so it’s quite alright. staff is also quite responsive and the place is really popular during meal times. definitely a great hangout spot.
