“sorry,  sorry!”  and  then,  when  she  realizes  that  she’s  in  a  library,  another,  “sorry”,  but  quieter.  there’s  really  no  reason  for  her  to  be  late,  because  they’d  planned  to  meet  here  right  after  last  period  got  out,  but  here  she  was.  she’d  gotten  distracted,  and  honestly,  hadn’t  wanted  to  come  in  the  first  place.  as  much  as  she  was  trying  to  be  a  little  friendlier,  it  was  a  lot  easier  said  than  done.

still,  she’ll  place  her  bag  down,  take  a  seat,  and  start  looking  for  the  notebook  and  stuff  that  she  needs.  “uh,  yeah,  so  i’m  a  little  late.  sorry  about  that.”  she  finds  the  notebook!  it’s  covered  in  stickers,  nothing  really  important,  just  ones  that  her  aunt  gave  her.  (she’d  insisted,  saying  they  would  help  rain  fit  in  a  bit).  “but  uh,  i  think  my  entrance  makes  up  for  it.  the  librarian  looks  pissed,  and  it  was  very  embarrassing,  so  that’s  funny,  right?”
