World of Warcraft - Karazhan Crypt (Upside-Down Sinners)
KARAZHAN CRYPT :
Some people speculate that is a lower portion of Karazhan, as some lore indicated Karazhan has a lower half. But the architecture does not seem match with Karazhan in the slightest bit.
Inside the crypts, there's a persistent heartbeat. There are also many subzones such as Tome of the Unrepentant, The Upside-down Sinners, Well of the Forgotten and Pauper's Walk.
So I tried getting into the infamous Karazhan Crypt last night; after many a failed attempts and going through Naxx as a break (Thaddius… /shudder) I got so close to getting in! …but then I fucked up and fell right through the world. I’ve gotta say that was infinitely more terrifying than what I probably would have found exploring the crypt.
As an apology for having not gotten to asks and replies yet, here’s a smile with a dead man!
I’ll be able to after next week for sure!
Went into Karazhan Crypt yesterday, creepiest place I've ever been in game. The third pic actually looks like the basement of my old high school.
Creepy isn't a strong enough word
I know, I haven't updated this, like, ever. But I'm posting today! With something good. Or bad, depending on how you look at it. I took a trip to the Karazhan Crypts. Now, for those of you who don't know, Karazhan itself was the beginner raid back in The Burning Crusade. Many players today still consider it one of the best raids Blizzard has ever released, sighting the size, the bosses, and the whole feel of the place. http://www.wowpedia.org/Karazhan will give you a more in-depth history and review on the place. Nearby, there is place that is just labeled "Crypt." A gate is blocking you from exploring further in. Seems like the end of it, no? Wrong! You basically have to glitch your way there, but you can go inside the Karazhan Crypt. I had a guildmate who knew how to get in go and summon me. Here are the screen shots I took! (And I'm sorry they're so small. I didn't realize until after I left! Next time...)
My friend summoned me near a body of water. I jumped in, and saw I was at the most famous place in the Crypt, The Upside-Down Sinners room.
Yes, those are bodies. Some are chained by their feet, some by their hands. Some are missing hands. All are creepy. Here's a better SS I got later:
Leaving there, I walked into a vast room called Tome of the Unrepentant. Nothing really here to see. Here's a grave:
Here's a big open space with some water:
There's some gates/doors in a room. Nothing behind them but more graves:
This is "The Pit of Criminals." Just an ordinary room...with a HUGE pile of bones in the corner. No big deal...
This is "The Pauper's Walk." A regular long hallway...
Wait, what's in those holes in the wall? Oh...
Finally make my way to what would be the entrance. One last thing to note here is the hole in the floor called "Well of the Forgotten." Notice, if you can, the scratch marks on the floor around it.
Looking down the hole! You see nothing, but this actually leads down to that pile of bones from earlier.
I can't post it, but there was also the sound of a constant heartbeat in the background. It came and went, but it was... /shiver
The whole time, I felt like something was gonna come out from out of nowhere and attack me. It was so creepy, but I loved it.

Later, for now!
