Karen Webb Codename: Cheshire character changes.

Karen was born during the height of overwatch, idolizing the heroes and swearing she was one day going to join them. As a teen  the Petras Act was put into place but that did not sway her faith in the organization. At the age fifteen she was DETERMINED to become like the heroes she admired as a child. She was of average intelligence but excelled in her studies of matter and motion. She came up with a theory on how to merge a person with physical objects while retaining their own mass and without becoming entrapped in the object. Unable to build it on her own she took it to any source she could find, the answer always the same that It was illogical and would require unethical testing. She continued pushing different science agencies to try developing the technology, her offering herself as a test subject. After many rejections she finally got an offer from a small science department that, unbeknownst to her at the time, was a part of Talon. Excited she immediately accepted the offer without thorough investigation.

As Talon’s lab rat she was put through excruciating tests that sapped away quite a bit of her sanity. When the Technology was finally created Talon wanted to rid themselves of the Lab rat but she wasn’t going to let that happen, it was HERS. After spending years in the facility she knew the layout, the schedules of the scientists, and exactly where they kept the technology so breaking out and stealing it was easy, killing the scientists and destroying all information on it after copying it to a hard drive was easier. 

After escaping she tinkered with the technology, experimenting with making a full suit, all the while Talon continued to search for her. When Overwatch was recalled to action she dons the persona of Cheshire, finally becoming the hero she wanted to be all along. Sadly her mind was still broken. on many occasions the members would comment on her apathetic approach to helping people, and her carelessness of lives, in response she just did what she always does. Laugh.
