Agreed!!!!! I will say that when Carina posted all of the single posters of each character she said a little something about each of them and for Jesse I remember she used the word “unredeemable” in his description. I’m hopeful they stick to that and keep him as the scum that he is.

ahh that does make me a bit hopeful. to be honest i can’t imagine them going down that route anyway (not any time soon at the least) but i mean you never know :’))

theories about isobel being controlled by something upset me so much for the same reason!! i don’t think it really makes much sense though looking at her actions (why would some random murderer in her mind be moodily listening to vampire weekend….?) but also……tv is often bad, but i really think it doesn’t fit that well

yeah i really truly hope they go with either something like alien malfunction or idk split personality or her powers trying to protect her from these ugly human feelings or literally anything but the mind control/possession story-line. 

there is definitely the tiny fear of it being shoddy writing though and that would suck because this show has done a lot of things right so far representation wise and it would really hurt if it went; ‘yeah we can write anything except good wlw representation’

i definitely decided i’d never finish it when i heard about what happens to beverly and every time i think about trying to watch it again for the end i remember that actually! the bad reasons i stopped are still the same!!

if i wasn’t watching mostly for raul espzara/were i watching week by week and not binging it 5 years after it started i probably would have stopped after what happened to beverly 

i can kiiiinda see the appeal if you’re into this sort of thing but,,,,,,,horror belongs to women and treating them so poorly on your horror show is bad. and if you want to make a show about hannibal lecter, clarice starling needs to be present or it should not be made

i never even watched past ep 2 when i was watching it but had still had hopes (and mostly just loved abigail), but then i gave up entirely. yeah hannibal but, good to women, could be something i probably would’ve loved but…………alas

freddie lounds is honestly sustaining me lmao she deserves better than to be on this show but here she is anyway so here i am, still watching. every episode i like frantically watch the guest stars list after the credits in every episode like “please say raul esparza or lara jean chorostecki”

tbh the gore and grossness level is way too high for this to be something that i could ever have really committed to, i obviously watch horror movies constantly but i tend to avoid shit like this when i can lmao

2. Favorite film genre(s)

Science fiction, specifically philosophical thought experiment science fiction, like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Truman Show, and Gattaca, but I think it’s less the genre I’m into and more that, since movies have an extremely finite length, I like movies that explore an idea, and sci-fi is very well-suited to that.

And then, of course, franchise action sci-fi movies because I’m a nerd.

11. Films that had a lasting impact on you

This Film is Not Yet Rated was my wake-up call about the degree to which not just the MPAA but the whole film distribution system (and other media for that matter) is full of censorship, and to this day I’m very distrustful of ratings systems and the value judgments that are necessarily embedded in them.

The Prestige and The Truman Show are two that I think about more often than expected. Kill Your Darlings murdered me. The Lion King and The Prince of Egypt are like what the fuck!!! Sunshine gets my soul.

Phase one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Both The Amazing Spider-Man movies. Star Wars.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh no but every character on every one of my favorite shows in amazing. Buffy Summers, Spike, Anya, Wesley Wyndam-Pryce, Topher Brink, Matt Murdock, Karen Page, Zuko, that’s the top faves list everybody else is a loser.

17. TV shows that have had a lasting impact on you

Obviously Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Dollhouse, Daredevil, and Avatar: The Last Airbender. The Simpsons was a huge influence on me growing up. I’ve watched Arrested Development more times than it deserves. Am I ever not watching Parks & Recreation? Once Upon a Time in Wonderland has the most dramatic depiction of definitely platonic love in anything and I think about it every day!!!!! Star Wars: Clone Wars gave me a crisis about how much better the Star Wars prequel trilogy could have been. Doctor Who gave me trust issues regarding ongoing works for life.

28. Favorite author(s)

I don’t really follow authors...... I'm a very slow reader and aim for breadth rather than depth, so except in the case of series, I tend not to read more than two books per author, which is too small a sample size to judge. I am sorry I don’t read books.

"Bruce can fly with three," Natasha said. "He's a lot bigger and stronger than Stephen."

Stephen snorted.

"We'll keep the demons off your back while you deal with the star," Natasha said.

Antonia gaped, then turned away to pull on the gloves. She sniffed.

"She's crying," Clint said, overly loud as usual.

"I am not!" she protested, knowing that Clint couldn't hear her but unwilling to face him and let him read her lips because actually, yes, she was. Only a little bit, but her eyes were definitely wet.
