Welcome to a new dimension in fear. The first one had rules. Eight new people this time find themselves in another mysterious and dangerous cube and again must survive until they can find a way out. Unlike the first one, maybe in contrast to it, the people get to keep their street clothes and it’s the cube itself that looks stark, bland and sterile where in the first one the cube had the intericate, weird, never explained designs all over, and the people all wore the same uniform differentiated by name patches. Escaping the first one was more mathematical and this one was more physics-y/scientific as this cube had some suspended laws of physics where the first one had normal laws of physics if a different orientation cube to cube. Seeing the blueprints of this cube during the opening credits, and flashbacks to the characters outside the cube, and one character with a possible connection to, or hint at the purpose/reason for the cube was interesting. The cubes in this one seemed bigger but that might have been the bright lighted plastic(?) and metal compared to the darker metally ones in the first one. If the first one was 90’s, this one was definitely 00’s, like after this wrapped I hope they filmed a music video or two before striking that set😆 also holy random anti-grav and corpse sex scenes thrown in...that got just a tad weird. I’d also buy this one if found reasonably priced somewhere.
