Trick cover hopes you have forgotten that Sasquatch was actually the form of one of the great beasts. Also despite the cliffhanger nature of the last book, pretty much all that happens in this book is Michale takes the Talisman and Pestilence escapes.

Because this is the home of the Great Beasts, we get a lot of first looks at some of them. Starting with Somon, the kinda ruler/creator of this place, then Tundra,  who we have seen in first AF book, then Kariooq, who looks like a sweet ass skeleton right out of a metal album cover, and finally Tolamaq... who is just like...fire I guess?

Sasquatch is still tied to the Great Beasts, and how it all works is super confusing, and I can’t really be bothered to figure it out cause I also know it isn’t really super important.
